I was truly hoping it was going to be someone else! Not because I didn't want Marlena to be the killer...it's just that after waiting so long, finding out who the killer is on a magazine cover just stinks!

There are too many loop holes in this story line. Why would Maggie tell the killer she had an appointment with Marlena the next day IF she was talking to her?? Why would Marlena kill Roman? Why would Caroline tell Celeste how to save her when she ate the poison dip? Too many huge loop holes!

Unless....of course...they are going to make there be MORE than 1 killer???!!!

I turned it on Tuesday to see what all the hype was about. Are the people who write this show sane?

I wondered to myself how people could get caught up in stuff like this and then I remembered that I took the day off of school when Laura came back on General Hospital and reunited with Luke.

Before I say anything I just need to scream MY CABLE WENT OUT FIVE MINUTES BEFORE THE SHOW ENDED AND I DID NOT SEE MARLENA AS THE KILLER!!!! Okay, now that I got that out of my system, can someone please tell me what did Marlena look like? Were her eyes funny? Did she seem possessed or in control? Did she say anything to Tony or did Tony say anything to her?

I think I would have thrown my TV out the window.

Marlena, looked in control. She did not look "possessed" but she did have an "evilness" attitude about her. Very Cold.

She was standing over Tony's bed & Tony looked up at her and said "oh my God....I knew it was you"
Then they panned up to Marlena (holding a needle) and she said "You are too smart for your own good, Tony"

And credits rolled.......

I thought so too. It seemed like she knew exactly what she was going to do. It surprised me because I expected her to be more of a wild lady doing Tony in.

I had read that Julie & Doug were not coming back to the show in order to be killed off. Since Doug caught Marlena in a lie to John, I wonder what that means for him??

Okay, now I have to nitpick previous shows, because Marlena being the killer doesn't make sense. We were shown three people's reaction to the killer.

Let's see:

Abe; his reaction to seeing Marlena was happy, which would make sense. What doesn't make sense is why Marlena would kill Abe. Could Marlena be the one who really killed Colin and Abe found out? If he did, he would not have been happy to see her.

Maggie; she also was happy to see Marlena and let her in the house, which makes sense. What doesn't make sense is her telling Marlena they didn't allow alcohol in the house and that she had an appointment with "Marlena" the next day.

Roman; when he lifted the mask off of the killer and saw Marlena he was shocked and said this can't be, which makes sense. What doesn't make sense is why Marlena killed him. He never said he knew who the killer was. He obviously didn't know it was Marlena because he was shocked to see it was her. Also when Roman and Abe's ghosts appeared to Celeste and Marlena asked who Celeste was talking to, Celeste said Roman and Abe; can't you see them? Then Roman said to Marlena, Doc, you're taking my death so hard. At the time I thought it was concern, but I guess it was suppose to be sarcastic, which would make sense.

I know I'm reading too much into it, but it really ticks me off when they don't make everything coincide with each other.

Now, do you guys think she really killed Colin? If she did, why? I guess we'll have to wait and see. This is suppose to last until December

This is the one I am really trying to figure out. Why she killed Abe in the first place. Unless she isn't really "Marlena" and she is working for Stefano. We all know Stefano never did like Abe for a son-in-law.
BUT...then why would Stefano have his own son (Tony) killed off???
I can't remember where Marlena was when Colin was shot. Maybe she did kill Colin, but again WHY?!?!

As far as Maggie. Well, Maggie likes to ramble alot. I think she was doing a lot of rambling like when she said she doesn't serve alcohol in the house.
I looked at past transcripts & according to those Maggie never actually said the name Marlena.

I think what Roman said when he was a ghost with Abe was suppose to be sarcastic.

What I don't understand though is why Marlena ate the poison dip at Carolina's funeral. Why would Marlena poison herself???

I have also wondered about this. Maybe the dip wasn't poisoned after all. She could have been pretending. Did they actually find out it was indeed poisoned or just assumed because of Marlena passing out?

I really thought Maggie mentioned Marlena during her conversation, but I guess I was wrong. So the conversation with Marlena makes a little more sense, except for the alcohol aspect.

Tomorrow's show begins where today's left off...with them showing Marlena for the first time. If you missed it today, you'll see the same footage tomorrow!

One explanation for Marlena eatting the dip at Caroline's funeral is maybe, just maybe, she is under Stefano's control...but not all the time....and the time when she's not under his control, she has no clue as to what kind of mischief she's been up to!! MAYBE her pushing John away is 'her' way of keeping him safe! Just like when the killer was stalking Belle in the circus tent yesterday...only moments later, when Belle seemed scared, did Marlena show up to comfort her!!

Anyone else notice how quickly she was in and out of that white lab coat and latex gloves today??!! Boy! She's fast!!! One second, she is outside Tony's room, behind the drawn curtain, pulling on the gloves. Next time we see her, she is talking to Belle and John...then, it's back to that lab coat!!! Presto Chango!!

One final thought....Marlena Evans seems to be a well known PHYCIATRIST in the small town of Salem....don't you think the cop at Tony' door would of found it just a tad ODD that he would need that kind of doctor considering his position!! Maybe she was going to ask him how he "felt" as the tiger was mauling him!!

I think I've gotten entirely too involved with this show!! I think the thing that bothers me the most is that it has been fun interpreting little tidbits of info the show has given us these past few months and trying to figure out the killer's identity.......only to have the killer revealed and NOT MAKE SENSE. I had fun keeping track of all the reactions of the murder victims and comparing notes, etc.... Many things DIDN'T point to Marlena (ie. Maggie and the alcohol, why she would kill Abe and Roman, the poison, Caroline telling how to save Marlena, etc.....). All of this detective work was for nothing!

I kind of half watched today. Lately I can NOT get into the show, and I have been watching non-stop since 1964/65 when the show started. I became uninterested the last time Reily was the head writer too. This show has alwasy been soo family oriented with family groups that go on and on. Prayer, family, truth etc was always important to this show. Now that is all out the window, and we have THIS garbage! I think they are TRYING to ruin the show to get rid of it. I think they did something similar to Another World too, an they just took it off. I expet the same to happen to Days soon.

Since we now know Marlena is the killer, I'm hoping the storyline gets better. It will be pretty funny now when Jan goes to her for advice, I sure wouldn't want to be alone in the room with her

Also, someone mentioned about the cop letting Marlena in. I'm sure after Tony is killed they will question him about who came into the room. I'm sure he's going to say a tall, attractive blonde woman, which unfortunately for Nicole, is also her description.

Crossing my fingers that this storyline will get more interesting.

Hmmm...I can not remember. I thought "Super Cop" Bo said they were going to take it down to the Police Lab & get it checked out, but we all know how good the police crime lab is in Salem!!!
