I guess they hade the old characters there more as a supporting role to show Doug and Julie's more memorable days on the show.
But I'm not impressed with not having Hope, Chad, or JJ there.
Like PP said they had months to figure out this storyline.
Everything could have happened before Doug's death.
Heck they could have just held off on Doug's death until a full year after he passed at this point to wrap up some other storylines first.

I'm pissed at this new "Doug Williams" already!!!

Ok I'm not saying the writing was great in the last couple years it was on NBC but ugh this is just some terrible writing and other than emotional parts the acting hasn't been great from these vets.

You write it so Hope misses the actual funeral for no good reason...

Everyone seems either too stiff or too loose like they aren't acting.

I'm glad Hope can see through "Doug Williams".

And I admit bringing up the weed donuts for the book club was a fun memory lol.

My dd captions tv/movies/etc for a living. They do Days. A month or two ago she sends me a message, "I forgot how much Chad can't act" LOL. She described it as "smell the fart acting" (a Friends reference) LOL

Phillip is particularly bad.

And Ciara is also acting very awkward. She is not acting like spunky/sassy pre-Peacock Ciara.

Its like they are reluctantly there...

Agree, Phillp is awful! Oddly the one whose acting doesn't annoy me is Kat. And Leo, cuz I love Leo. He is my favorite.

Ciara sounds like she has a cold all the time. Her last appearance I felt the same way. So I doubt she actually had a cold both times.

She's acting like she acted in the jewel thief Peacock mini series when her and Ben had to go to the swingers mansion. Which for that was fine but for normal acting its not lol. But even during that she still had a spunk/sass about her that she no longer has.
Its like her spark is gone.

IDK I've kind of always liked Clyde as a villain.
I think he made a better villain than Orpheus anyways.
The problem is he was gonna say ALIVE but he didn't get to. Grr.

So Belle says deserves 50 % of Titian but did the writers forget that Phillip did get an inheritance and was taken care of .

I really am tired of this Joy story already….please just don’t make her pregnant , I’m scared that is where it will go with Chanel getting pregnant too.

Are they keeping the Green family now the mother is back? Can the new Doug 3 go too. The time capsule was terrible.

Nothing is keeping my interest at all. I ff a lot.
