sooo, i'm (thank goodness) off from work today, looking at the mountains of snow out our windows, and daydreaming....
the recurring dream is of walking along the boardwalk, the sun baking my shoulders and causing rivelets from my mint-chip ice cream to run between my now sticky fingers, listening to the music that perfectly matches the old-time boardwalk, friendships tooting as they cut across the chips of sunlight in the lake, the aroma of the fresh bakery goodies......

i just realized i have that same "my face hurts from smiling" that starts every time the DME bus turns the corner at the hess gas station, and doesn't go away until i steal that last glimpse on our way back home.

would love to hear others' happy place moments, the one that really takes you away...:cloud9:

Ahh, I'm right there with you, on the Boardwalk. Although, I most certainly do not have the beautiful way with words that you do :cloud9:

One of my happy places is one of the most "boring" parts of the day. It is after an afternoon by the pool. Relaxing on the couch, eating a snack, watching Ellen in the villa. Getting ready to head back to the parks and out for dinner. There's always about an hour or so downtime, after we are done at the pool, while everyone showers and gets ready to head back out- and I love that time. Also, the bus ride back to the resort, after a morning in the parks. We always do the midday pool/lunch break. And I love riding back watching out the windows, wondering if the clouds will stay away to give us an afternoon of sun. popcorn:: My family and I always joke that the most unexciting part of the day in Disney, is better than the best part of your day anywhere else. Ahhh. Thank you for letting me daydream with you. :flower3:

My happy place is that first second you get into the MK and see the castle. It's like at THAT moment it's real... I'm really at Disney and my heart wants to explode with joy lol.

but really I guess the whole property is my happy place. anytime I'm there and I see a mickey head on something it just makes me smile.

I dream of our first dip in the pool. My son loves the pool so much that it tickles me to see him so happy. Then he always says "I can't believe we're at Disney World". Yup, that's it.

Seeing the Green WDW exit sign to turn from 192 onto World Drive (We always drive). It means, "We're Here!" :cool1:

The 13 inches of snow out my window packed on top of the 20 inches that were already there has be day dreaming of Disney too. I can't wait to step foot on main street in March.

We're in Chicago and don't have as much snow as the East Coast (Thank Goodness!), but I'm always longing for WDW and the warmer weather.

We've gone past daydreaming and resorted to re-viewing our WDW documentaries and home movies to keep us going until March. It's kind of funny, the kids start off watching with us, then they wander off and it's just me and DH watching and longing for the next trip.

It makes me wonder what they tell their friends?? :rolleyes1

OH and nothing brings a smile to my face like hearing "welcome home" when we arrive :D

I loved dreaming along with those posts:cloud9:
PreDVC, most of our magical moments were in the parks. Now, I've noticed our favorite times are normalLy at the resort, and much more frequent.
I looooooove walking to DHS and EPCOT - stopping to take a picture or talk to a duck:) or as PP said; laying by the pool, with no cares, debating whether to actually do something later or not, knowing that we have years and years of just enjoying the moments so have the luxury of doing nothing at all.....
I can't understand how anyone can be disappointed in DVC. it has given us so much more than just a place to stay - it's helped us slow down, and enjoy the little things :goodvibes

My recurring daydream is driving into Old Key West and seeing all the palm trees. Then going to my villa and sitting on the patio enjoying a warm day looking at the water and golf course with my beloved husband. Next we go for a walk to the hospitality house past the pool near the volleyball court to look at the palm trees that line the river. The music of Jimmy Buffett playing in the background. Enchanting!!!

It is the view of the boardwalk from the beach club and a view of the beach club from the boardwalk. I love seeing pictures of those areas it is my daydream believer moment!

Ok, if you are an author....or if you become one, I will definitely read your books!!! I am right there with you, too!! I love daydreaming about sitting on our DVC balcony or walking in the Magic Kingdom or Epcot. I can close my eyes and almost smell Geir's Layla as I imagine opening them and walking through the Norway pavilian. I can taste some of the flavors, hear the sounds, and feel the breeze....and it is so comforting.

I think mine is that first walk from Congress Park in SSR to DTD. I just love that.:cloud9:
