Hi All:)

I have been reading through the forum threads for awhile now and have finally registered:cool1:

I have never been to any Disney resort before and have convinced my partner to allow us to dedicate one of our 6 days in Paris to disneyland:yay:

I have a few Qs!

We will be visiting on one day between the 2nd and 6th of September. Will the park be really busy on these dates???

We plan to do both parks in the one day and I have compiled a list of attractions to get through. Just wanted to know are there any of those below which we should ditch from the to do list, or are there any others that should be added?

In Parc Disneyland:
-Big Thunder Mt
-Phantom Manor
-Indiana Jones
-Pirates of the Carb.
-Space Mountain
-Star Tours

Studios:
-Tower of Terror
-Crush
-Coaster with Aerosmith

Also, plan to have dinner at Walts @ around 5, would I need to make a reservation?

I am really excited. My partner went about 10 years ago for a family holiday and is'nt keen on going back, but I really hope I can change his opinion!!! I know I will love it, I have always wanted to go!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks
Tomtom:goodvibes

Hello :goodvibes

Your list looks good but I'd ditch SM2 as I don't like having a headache afterwards (too much head banging from side to side on it). If you are planning on doing Crush either get there for when the gates open at 9.30 and run to the queue or try last thing half an hour before closing, otherwise you can be looking at 60 mins wait minimum.

Seeing as you can I'd avoid the weekend so not the 3rd/4th and go on either the 6th followed by the 2nd and then the 5th

Walt's will probably be open only for lunch when you go so last service around 4.00 but check with restaurant reservations for hours and opening days as it might be closed on Monday and Tuesday (often is)

hth :)

Thank you, that was really really helpful carrie_cat.:thumbsup2

I think I will opt for the 2nd then:goodvibes

mmm not sure where to eat now, since Walts may only open for lunch. I wanted to wait to the end of my day there, as I am sure a full tummy and roller coasters do'nt exactly go hand in hand:eek: So back to the drawing board for food! Most reviews for eateries at the resort have been fairly poor (judging by those on trip advisor). Might opt for Annette's Diner instead and go a bit later, at the end of the day when we are done with the rides. I really want to eat at the resort to get a fuller experience, but want somewhere nice. I am hoping if my partner has a good experience on the day trip, he might be more open to a weekend winter break at the Disney hotel!!!!! *crosses fingers*. So really want the day to be perfect!!!:wizard:

Phone the restaurant reservations to check with them as they will be the only ones who'll know for sure the openings times/days ... 0033 164304050

Walt's do a quick lunch (40 minutes) for 20€, it's a main course and a café or tea with a few yummy mini desserts so not heavy at all. :goodvibes

Also if you do Studios first and then IJ and SM2 have lunch (even a full 2 or 3 course one) and then do the "softer" options after there are no risks of full tummys/rollercoasters ;)

I can't be doing with Annettes at all, I tried 3 times and it's subpar for food, service and hygiene :sad2:

Thanks again Carrie_Cat! Who knew planning could be so much fun:)! I am getting so excited!

Definately agree with Carrie Cat about Crush. It gets fairly manic.

As regards lunch maybe the express lunch at Walts would suit you best. I think Blue Lagoon also do an express menu.

Id go for IASW and the gentler rides would be best after lunch! Buzz laser blast is great as is Phantom Manor (no jolting or fast drops). Would definately try to do BTM. I loved it.
Aerosmiths RnRC normally doesnt have too big of a queue in the Studios and we loved RC Racer too. If you have time Stitch Live is a great show to see.

Oh and you MUST do Tower of Terror. My very favourite for theme, atmosphere and the hilarious Cast Members.

Thanks Kizzabel and eviltink!

Yes i think i will go for Walts, seems to be somewhere we can be guarenteed great food, and i suppose after lunch we can do some of the gentler rides then walk around for awhile and take in the park, i dont want to miss the atmosphere by just running from ride to ride:)

Cannot wait for Phantom Manor, it is the ride I am most looking forward to, TOT also, are the wait times bad for those?

I plan to load up on mercandise too:)

On a weekday in September I'd expect Phantom Manor to have a 5/10 minute queue. ToT would probably be 20mins but you can get a fastpass for it whilst you ride something else (Aerosmith).

:thumbsup2Thanks Happy Tappy

I have saw online that it is possible to purchase a premium fastpass @ 80-90 euros for a day, it is unlimited, all you have to do is join the fastpass queue. I would definately get this if the queues were going to be really long, but judging from the wait times you have suggested I wont have that problem, so maybe I shouldnt bother with the premium fastpass if the wait times are not going to be too long while im there. Let me know what you think:goodvibes

Thanks tomtom

I personally wouldn't bother with the premium fastpass. It's very expensive and not really worth it.

Most of the rides you listed don't have long queues. Aerosmith/Space Mountain/Indianna Jones etc... should only be 5-20min queues at that time of year.

The only one that does is Crush but the premium fastpass wouldn't work on that.

Use the normal fastpass well and you should get most of your list done.
