My first attempt at writing a trip report.....be patient with me.

Who: Diane (me) somewhere between 30 and 40
Mom if I wrote her age down, I wouldn't see tomorrow!
Dad 66 (gives you a clue on mom's age)
Where: Animal Kingdom Lodge
When: November 28 - December 8
Why: It's Christmas time!

The time zone changes finally caught up with me and while I woke up again at 4:00am....I fell back asleep until about 11:00am - when the kids upstairs thought the balcony bars was to be used as a musical instrument.

Got up and ready and was out the door by noon. First bus to appear today was MGM....so off I went. Got to the park and saw how crowded it was and almost turned right around. Please tell me all these people leave soon, and value season and low crowds are just around the corner! Went to go see Walt's exhibit and there was a 30 minute wait to get in! Nope, will wait until next week for that. Walked around the park for a bit and went to get lunch at the backlot. After lunch it was about 1:30 and decided to stake out a spot for the parade. I like the pre-show for the parade and met some nice ladies from Illinois. After the parade I went to the BATB show. While I enjoy the show - I really enjoy listening to 'Four for a Dollar' as the pre-show.

After BATB, I headed out of the park and hopped the bus to EPCOT. Once there I did Spaceship Earth (no wait) and then started wandering towards World Showcase. I stopped at the information booth to ask when "Cast in Bronze" was playing and when the tree lighting ceremony was. They could answer neither question. Yesterday they couldn't answer where Off Kilter was....so why are they called information?

After getting no new information I headed out towards World Showcase and got there just as Cast In Bronze was starting! Yippee!!:bounce: :bounce: It was nice to just sit and hear them play.

I then wandered back through World Showcase and got to American Adventure and 5:30pm. Heard the end of the first Candlelight Processional and then chose a spot around the tree to watch Tapestry of Nations and the 2nd Candlelight Processional show. Now there is rope around the tree which is meant to keep people (read...kids) out - so why do so many parents have their children go inside the roped off area to have their pictures taken by the big tree?

After the 2nd Candlelight show ended (Edward James Olmos was very good:D ) I got in line for the 8:15 show. When the line moved past the benches in what used to be the AP viewing area, I sat down and had a great seat for Illuminations! Met a cast member and had a nice chat while we listened to the wonderful music from the Garden Theatre.

Illuminations was fabulous as always and after the show I took my time leaving the park and got back to AKL about 11:00pm.

Tomorrow: Parents Arrive

Another great day. :) Thanks for posting.
