Ok I have gotten back to type the last day report. We Had a great Day at Sea. The weather was not so nice so we could not get a pool day in. They actually at some points had to close the pool.
Ok we will start from the AM. We got to sleep till 8am today. We were awakened by a buzzer and green light on our wall, having no idea what it was (door bell) It was our breakfast as ordered last night. Right on time. We were pretty amazed that we could go the entire trip and not know we had a door bell. Especially when later that afternoon while we were relaxing a group of little kids kept buzzing it. (Pretty bad when kids know more about your temp. home the you do) We just really hung out and relaxed before moving on for what ever the day had in store.
The day is kinda of a blurr as we did not do much but relax. We got on the computers to check back home with the family. I took this day to walk around and get video of the ship for everyone back home who requested it. We hit up the shops one last time to pick up a few extras foe our kids. Here is a tip, you know those little square water tight containers they sell on Castaway and on the ship, we bought one, the went back for 2 more, so we had 1 for each of our children. They now carry there lunch money in them! They are great. Ok anyway.
There was not to much on our list to do. We went and saw the kids frog races in the lobby area. It was funny. Then we headed off to Parrot Cay for luncg. BIG MISTAKE. They had the oriental buffet. YUCK! I can say we ran into a whole bunch of people on this day and no one was happy with this buffet. It was just awful, and I like your typical chinese food, this was bad. So it was a fast lunch, no need to worry we woun't starve. ROOM SERVICE!
Since the rain had started our adult pool games were off. So we wandered around some more. I honestly can say we did not do much of anything. I do have to say DO NOT MISS THE DISNEY DREAMS show. We went to the 6:30 show and it was amazing. It was also very cold in the theater, bring a sweater! After the show we went to the shops were Captain Henery was signing. We had our portpholio signed with our photo with him from the night before and a photo of the ship. Then we went off to dinner.
Dinner was back at TRitons for the best od DInner. AWESOME. The food was great. I had the pork loin yummy. This was the first night thst everyone at our table got a salad, app. and main dish. One person at our table got 2 entrees. We had a great night. After we left dinner we went up to Studio sea to catch a little bit of the Family Karoke(SP?) It was cute with the kids. We left there to see what was going on in Route 66. It was the last night dance party. However by 11:30 we were tired and decided since we could not sleep in tomorrow and had to start the long drive home, we went to bed.
WAKE UP! It is 4:45 am and what is that noise. A low gear grinding type noise. So I get out of bed to look out our window, we are pulling into port. I do not know why, maybe because we were all the way forward, but we could hear a lot of noise. I stood there a watched as we pulled into the dark port. It amazed me that it took us 40 minutes to get down the channel and spun around back into port. So I decide to lay down at 5:30ish to go back to sleep. At 6:15 our wake up call came. So we got up and got going. We did not have to be to breakfast till 8. So we took the chance to go get coffee from deck 9 and just do a last walk of the ship. We sat on ddeck 4 above the lobby as they dropped the rope to allow people out. I teared up. It was sad. I took pictures of the good bye sighn and went to breakfast.
After breakfast we wandered off the ship. We found our luggage without any problem. And went to our car.
As we pulled out we waved goodbye for our long trip home. Already planning when we can get on our next cruise. (Western in 2005) That is a long time away. For now we have graet memories of our first Disney cruise.
