This was Wednesday the day we had to move from the Poly and to All Star Movies...We really did not want to say goodbye to the Poly AT ALL. Even my DS2 had enjoyed walking down the hall to the lounge for breakfast and snacks...it's so funny how quickly something becomes a 'routine.' We packed up and headed to our van. DH took some last minute pics of the GF from the Poly, which turned out awesome b/c there was a thunderstorm brewing and the whiteness of the GF against those black clouds and the black water look really great!
When we got to ASMo, I was surprised to find they still had rooms available in the Toy Story section...I had tried and tried to get rooms for this end of our vacation at WL, POFQ, ASMo, etc., with no luck at all. I finally called travelocity and they had rooms available at ASMo. That was the only way we got to stay there, which was a treat b/c we never had. As we drove to our new building, DS2 in the backseat kept murmuring, "WOW!" "WOW!" He said that at ALL the icons, the green army men and of course Buzz and Woody. He was just in heaven! It took *some* of the sting out of leaving the Poly! We had lunch in the food court and decided we ought to head to Epcot. It had stopped raining, so it ended up being a good day.

We went straight to the World Showcase, and I bought DD7 a passport; she picked up her mask at Canada and she was off and running to finish her mask!! She had never done this before, and she really got a thrill out of doing it! I was worried we wouldn't have time to get around to all the countries, so we were pretty speedy about it...we didn't hang around to see "O Canada" for example, but I would like to next time. We pretty much just went from one Kidcot station to the next. And the Kidcot stations are tucked into little nooks and crannies of the countries' pavillions, so they're not the first thing you see. And yes, I should've taken the time to look at our map and find out exactly WHERE they were, but it was much easier to just ask, so that is where I got the title of today's report!

The best surprise of Epcot was seeing characters, which we never had. We saw Belle in France, and she was soooo nice! Not rushed at all like the Cinderella's Breakfast's Belle. DD7 was standing there talking to her, and Belle noticed that DS2 was wondering around, so she went right to him, held his hand and brought him back to the area where she was. She was talking to him the whole time, and THANK GOODNESS he didn't throw a fit on her, he sure would've if it had been DH or I leading him by the hand like that! She talked to DD and DS the whole time, and they didn't have time to be nervous or shy. We took a really good pic of them all together. It was especially nice to see characters in Epcot; like AK, it was quieter and had much shorter lines, not hectic and crowded like MK. We saw Jasmine in Morocco, she took the cutest pic with DD7...she told DD to stand with her back against Jasmine's back and they both crossed their arms, so they both look like genie's! It was very cute.

DD7 finished her mask and her passport and loved every minute of it! We saw Tapestry of Dreams, which was beautiful. Actually this parade ran twice nightly while we were there, so we saw it twice. One other thing we did that we never had was ride "Maelstrom" in Norway! Who would think they have a water ride in that little pavillion! It looks tiny from the outside!

We also saw the American Adventure show which was really great. The kids got chicken fingers and fries here. DH and I had sushi for dinner! It was a first for us. We got it at the Japan booth set up for the Food and Wine Festival. It was really yummy, even with that fire-hot green stuff on it.

It had really cooled off from the rain, so we left before Illuminations. The kids were tired and we had a great day.

Quote of the day from DD7, "We are into some SERIOUS happiness here!"

Sounds like a perfect day , thanks for the report.. Michelle
I can't wait to get there !!

My 9 year old daughter really loves filling out the Epcot passport and doing the mask too, she has proclaimed Epcot her favorite park for the last 3 years running. There's just something so special about the World Showcase.

We have also had some fabulous character greetings here, it's so nice not to be all rushed, isn't it? :)
