Today we had our breakfast PS at Chef Mickey's at 8:45. Since we were at the Contemporary we got our wakeup call at 8. We were all ready to go and headed down there. Since the fireworks a heavy fog had moved in and you could not see the MK or any of the lagoon resorts when we woke up! For the first time in all of our Chef Mickey's meals (I think this was breakfast #2, meal #5) we had the room with windows, and you couldn't see anything! We saw Chip, Dale, Mickey, Minnie and Pluto, with Goofy in the lobby. We all ate very well. This was the first time there that DS wasn't asleep or cranky so I was enjoying his reactions. He likes to give the characters big hugs, and he was showing them his pride and joy, the pirate hat he got at MK on Tuesday, and telling them he had a sword too but we made him leave it in the room.
After we ate we got our stuff from the room, filled our mugs (I really got my $$ out of mine) and headed to the bus stop to go to MGM. It got pretty full between the Contemp. and the Poly. Ann Marie, the woman who checked us in, had told us to meet her friend, a CM at Beauty and the Beast, before the 11 AM show. We asked for him and he came up about 5 minutes before showtime. He sat us right in front in some unused handicapped seating and then gave DH immediate fastpasses for ToT and RnR!!!! DH asked what we could do for Ann Marie, as she had told us that 1/2 was her last day at WDW, so we couldn't just give her compliments to the management. He told us that if she knew we were happy that would be all that she would want! We really enjoyed the show and went to ToT first. We got our own FPs for later (1PM) and rode with the ones we had been given. Then we went to RnR--the girls and I rode with a FP, then they rode with DH and the baby swap. This is the only ride DS is still too short for.
After that I wanted to do something we had never done, so after buying a "NEw Years Day 2004" pin we went to Playhouse Disney. The girl in line was saying "please get a fastpass for the 2PM show" and that she couldn't guarantee we would get in. I told her we would be gone by then, as we were planning on going to the resort after our FP. She talked quite a few people out of the standby line. Meanwhile the girls were shopping in the shop next to the line, and the CM there asked if they were going to the show, and when they said yes he told them we could go in the door by the shop! We ended up in the very front on the right side! I noticed people by us in line also got in to that show. After that we toured the Haunted Mansion ballroom set and then did our FP on ToT again. We were all in the front row and it came out well (I put on DS's pirate hat for the photo) so we bought one.
We did a little shopping and went back to the resort. By this time it was about 4 but it was still about 77 so we went swimming--only thing was, as the sun moved off of the pool it got chilly. DH and I spent some quality time talking in the spa while the girls watched their brother. Then we got dressed and checked on the concourse steakhouse--only a 20 min. wait, so we ate there. After dinner we went on the monorail to the GF to shop, and then decided on a whim to go to MK. It was almost fireworks time, about 8:50. I moved into the middle of Main St. to walk, when who do I see but Michael Eisner and a small entourage!!! I pinched DH (who still has a mark) and took some photos--the CM by him said he doesn't mind photos, so DD#2 got his autograph and a photo and after Wishes DD#1 and I also got a photo. I can't wait to see it! Never anyone really famous at MK, and now this!
After that we did PHilharmagic again, Dumbo, Small World, and the Indy cars to finish up. I bought a picture frame and back to the contemporary--I refilled my mug several more times as the kids enjoyed the arcade.
