The party involved is myself, DH and 11 year old daughter. Day 1 we will leave the Columbus hotel by 7:45 and be shuttled right next door to the airport, our flight leaves at 9:50 to arrive in Orlando at 12:05. towncar meets us at airport, we have chosen to skip store run and go directly to all star movies. Here we will eat lunch and await until we can check in. We don't want to go to the park before we are sure of the room, have our bags there and a package we shipped several days before.
Off to MGM
Once arriving try to get fast pass for Little Mermaid and Millionaire, then see One Man's Dream, Magic of Disney Animation, Millionarie, Little Mermaid, Beauty and Beast and then most likely will be close to supper. We have PS at Sci Fi at 6:00. After supper and as time permits do Drew Carey, Backlot Tour, Muppet Vision, Indy Show, great Movie Ride and end by arriving by at least 7:30 to see Fantasmic. A ? here, how do I know if they are having more than one show of this? After fantasmic back to All Star Movies.
Another thing I should say is none of us are huge roller coaster people, so don't be surprised when you don't see lots of coasters in our day to day:)
any suggestions or help appreciated. Day #2 to follow soon.

It looks like you are going in the summer. Remember Tuesday is MGM's Early Entry day, so the park will be packed by the time you get there in the afternoon. Could you switch with another park that day? MGM seems to get congested because of the way it's configured.

If you go to MGM, I would strongly recommend you leave time for Muppetvision. It sounded like a maybe. Will your daughter want to meet/get autographs from any characters? My 11 yo niece enjoyed doing that.

Check the calendar at Disney online (www.disney.com).

At Park Hours
enter the month and park to get the calendar, then click on "Events and Entertainment" showing in the day you are interested in.

MGM Studios should be crowded in the morning and mid-day on the Tuesday since that is an EMH day, but many of the early attenders will leave by the late afternoon.

If I read your itinerary correctly, I doubt you'll get to ASM before 1:00-2:00 pm. You'll then have lunch and wait for your room (official check-in is 3:00 pm, but room may be ready sooner). Assuming a best case scenario, you won't get to MGM until 2:30-3:30 pm.

You will not be able to do Millionaire, BATB, and LM before your 6:00 pm dinner. Those shows run at designated times, and often overlap. I don't know the exact schedule but I am 99% positive you will be unable to do 3 shows in a 2 1/2 to 3 hour window. Then, after dinner you plan on doing more shows in 1/2 hour?

The more I read this the more I begin to wonder if someone is pulling my leg?? If I'm wrong, then I apologize. But this itinerary cannot be done in the time alotted.

No, I am not pulling your leg, this is my first time to Disney so that is why I am asking for help. People like you is what I need. I will always have Friday afternoon free also that we can go back and do the remain of MGM. How can I find out times of the shows bfore I get there.....what would your suggestion be if it were you?

Check out this page for show times http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/

You can see the current show times and decide what you can fit into the time you have. Many of the shows last 15-20 minutes at least and it with careful planning you can go right from one show to the next, but it takes some hustling. I've done it but it is not as enjoyable because there are so many interesting things you will miss along the way.

Depending on the show times you could do WWTBAM, B&TB and LM but it will be a close call.

Instead of waiting for your room to be ready I would go to MGM as soon as you are checked in. You can call from the park to see what room you are in and you won't have to stop at the front desk again because you will already have your room keys. Bell services will hold your lugage and you can call for it when you get back. The All Stars have always been very prompt for me. If you are worried that you will get back to the room and want to freshen up and will have a long wait for the luggage then leave a few items in a tote that you will keep with you.

Sorry if I insulted you by thinking you were pulling my leg.

My best suggestion would be to get a guide book for detailed info. My recommendation is the Unofficial Guide, but others like Passporter or Birnbaums. The Unofficial Guide has great touring plans. You may have to adapt the plan since you are going in the pm, but it should still be helpful.

My second suggestion would be to use FastPass. It's great and can cut down your waiting time. Read up on how to use it most effectively (holding more than one at a time, etc.). It saved a lot of time for my DW and I when we went during Christmas season, the busiest time of the year.

You've listed the best attractions to do (except Drew Carey, a waste of time IMO). I just think you'll need that Friday afernoon to see it all. If you go Friday I think you can get it all done.

Good luck and have fun.
