Day 1 - Awesome Trip

Day 1 - We left NC with snow on the ground and it was 18 degrees. All week it never got above freezing.....so we were excited about the Florida sun! Rented a SUV from Hertz, using Priceline, great deal and great experience (this was our 2nd time using Priceline). We took our time driving down and stopped at the FL visitor center. It was a balmy 62 degrees.....time to come out of the sweat shirts! We arrived at POFQ around 3:15 and we were in awe. The place was beautiful. Last year we stayed at ASMO and DS was concerned that POFQ would not be as much fun. Was he surprised....he loved POFQ!!! We were in bldg. 3 which was great and so close to everything, yet quiet. After quickly unpacking, buying our refillable mugs, and eating a very good meal at POR, we boarded the water taxi to DD. We had a blast. This was our 1st time at DD. DS loved Lego store and Once upon a toy store. We played and shopped until late. Very tiredly we took water taxi back to resort to get some R&R so we would be ready for our 1st full day of magic.

We have stayed at POR twice but never POFQ... We loved it both times, the grounds are absolutly gorgeous....
