Hey, Hi, HELLO!

Okay, so I'm back for a smidgen of an update. I've been stressed out to the max and even DF can see it. It's not even just the wedding anymore. It's the money situation and family and all of that fun stuff. My aunt has been super shady lately and not even like herself.. to the point that I don't even care if she ends up making it to my wedding or not. By the way, she's my godmother. I don't know who she is anymore but she's not herself.

My job hasn't been stable what so ever.. in case you forgot I'm a nanny. I completely understand things happen and vacations come up and such. But when I'm depending on that $350+ paycheck every week and you know I have a car payment and I'm saving for a wedding.. you can keep cancelling on me. Like today, I'm not going in until 2pm and probably will only work for about an hour. Like seriously, what's the point?! It's such a waste of a day. I love the family. I love the kids. But come September I think it's time for us to part ways. The little guy will go into preschool and the older one will be in Kindergarten. It'll break my heart to pieces.. but we can still have playdates! heh. If only the job market up here would pick up!

I also started my own little Mary Kay cosmetics business. So I'm hoping for that to pick up too and that way I can make some extra cash through that.

Okay, so back to the wedding stuff...
I returned my shoes. Decided they weren't for me. And I'm on the hunt for some new ones. But I think I'm going to wait until my dress actually comes in because that way I know how much of a heel I can get away with without having to get a hem! I've also been back to doubting everything again. But we're not going there. And I've officially stopped looking at wedding dresses all together until my dress comes in. I won't look at posts involving dresses, emails involving dresses, NOTHING. I hate being so indecisive.

I'm debating on adding a 6th member to my bridal party. I have a thing where everything has to be symmetrical and even. And in pictures with everybody 3 couples on one side and 2 on the other? So not going to work. Nope. Not at all. So I have a few contenders in my mind at the moment..

I also finally finished my engagement party invitations! Took us about 2 nights to get them done.. my mom, myself, and DF. He was my crystallizer! It's a bit hard handling those little buggers when you have long nails! ha. So without further ado..

I do have 2 things I need your help on though!
First I'm trying to figure out favors to give out at the party? They were originally going to be our Save The Dates, but obviously we didn't take our pictures yet so that's not going to work.
And Second, we're blowing up the picture of Buzz into a poster size to hang at the party and I'm making one up of Jessie.. I'm trying to come up with a clever saying to put on it.. similar to the effects of 'she promises to love him to infinity and beyond'. Anything you girls can come up with would be greatly appreciated!!



Oh and just a little venting to come from me now.. a friend of mine just got engaged last week. She had been dating her bf for about 5 years and has been waiting on the ring forever. I set them up by the way!
Anywho, she was super upset that I had gotten engaged before her and yadda yadda yadda. (She's a bit of a gold digger) So of course naturally, as soon as she gets engaged she's gotta blab to me about the ring and such. Her center stone is 1.2 carats and 2 carats overall for the entire ring. Which fine whatever, I'm not one to be 'mine's bigger than yours'. But what is the necessity for you to f'ing tell me that! Don't get me wrong I absolutely LOVE my ring.. especially with the sentimentality of it being my grandmother's stone now in the center.. but yes originally I wanted a 1 carat center stone. So there's no need for her to be rubbing it in my face! Gar! (DF's mom suggested getting a bigger center stone for one of our anniversaries and turning Gram's stone into a pretty right hang ring.. SMART LADY)
THEN she goes on to say that she has to get married in May or June of next year, yadda yadda yadda. I was like why are you in such a rush? 'Well I already told Shawn that once we're married I'm not working anymore and he has to fully support me. Plus I wanna get married in the Spring/Summer, blah blah blah.' Reality? She wants to beat me to the altar! Plus that girl doesn't even work now! Aoy. So frustrating!

So what do I do? I'm acting as her bestest friend. Girl you can get married first.. than I can definitely be sure you won't copy anything of mine. And what else am I doing? Sending her all of my information about certain places and helping in the planning process. I'll be sure to know exactly what's going on.
I mean her and I used to be best friends.. I mean inseparable. But we separated for a bit due to a bit of a nasty fight and now it's more so we'll hang out on occasion. She's a sweetheart. But she's got some f'd up motives and is a bit shallow at times.

So that's that for my update for now. More Engagement plans will pop up as they come along.
By the way, the end of the month is David and I's one year!
Anybody have gift suggestions?? ha. I'm at a loss.

well i'm doing a 2 week catch up so...... wow. i think you're feeling how i'm feeling with the span of time. i have a few friends/aquaintences that are beating me down the aisle and it's discouraging. it's also discouraging when they rub that their parents are paying for the whole thing in my face i love your earrings and e-party invites by the way!! So I looked further into the sandals/breezes thing. If I went there, I would absolutely want a plunge pool, plus airfare.... it's the cost of a Memories Wedding. back to square one. i'm sorry your job has been wishy-washy stable income is important--i totally get that!! you know i'm always here to chit chat and listen if you need me!!

I totally get what you're going through. I have a super unstable job right now too... as a substitute teacher I don't always get work when I want it, and sometimes I don't even know if I'm working that day until a few hours before! I also tutor for the SAT. Well, this month I was supposed to have three students to tutor, and ALL of them cancelled on me, saying they decided to take the test in the fall instead, or they wanted to concentrate on the Reading/Writing sections (I tutor math). Well, that's a couple of hundred dollars that I was counting on just gone. I'm really trying not to stress about it too much. I am fortunate that Jason has an excellent job lined up and could easily support both of us if it came to that. However, I'd still like to be working at least part time.

And good luck with the Mary Kay thing! My sister is a consultant for Willow House, it's the same type of deal but for household items. She actually had a pretty decent supplementary income from it, but she usually ends up spending it on Willow House products that she gets with a discount! It took awhile for it to really get off the ground though.

Girl, we are so on the same wavelength it's ridiculous. Too bad you're not in Jersey! We have the oceanfront walkout view for La Toc, they had an awesome deal going we got 65% off PLUS a night free. I'll keep my eye out to see if they have any deals like that going on again!

Heyy ladies! So I'm back here with a little bit of an update for you! I've been a smidgen quiet in the wedding world.. and I must say it's been rather nice? I've been much calmer and not so stressed. It's a relief.

Last week I had a few unscheduled days off and during them I got some little projects done. I finished the rest of my engagement invitations and also started designing some of the decor for it. Which you will get to see once everything is finalized. I also took a ride over to my church. I hadn't been there in at LEAST 5 years, since I was away at school and all that fun stuff I never really got over there. I had called them a few weeks ago in regards to our wedding and they said that we should definitely come by to see it because I won't recognize the church at all. And oh my gosh were they right! They have completely renovated the church. It's so much more modern and clean now! It's stunning. I talked to the woman in the rectory and she was loads and loads of help! I can take pictures during our ceremony, Dave can get married in the church without converting! The only things that I can't do are aisle runners and birdseed.. but guess what we're going to use for our exit instead?!?! SPARKLERS!!!
I'm pretty much sold on the whole church thing. Which somewhat shocked me. But what else is new? ha. I'm full of surprises! My mom was really excited. She's getting her way after all! Gr. Ha. But I told Dave about it and he's totally fine with it. I kept asking him to make sure that it was alright we were doing it in the Catholic church (he's not a big fan of it) and he just keeps responding with 'I don't care where we get married, we can get married underwater for all I care. As long as we get married that's all that matters. Location is nothing to me. You're what matters and I want you happy.' Ohhhh David. If that was the case I woulda been getting married in Disney! ha. But anyway, here are a few pictures I snapped with my cell phone! Sorry for the cruddy quality. But you get the idea. I'm going to bring my camera next time that we go!

I also think I've found wedding shoes! I've been browsing online and I found this pair that I'm pretty much in love with. It's just the price that's killing me right now and the reason why I haven't bought them yet! The heel is only 3 1/2" which really isn't so bad? But I'm a little bummed out that I can't crystallize them the way that I wanted to? But we'll see. What do you girls think? I'm definitely going to get a kick butt brooch to put in the front!

I was super sick [dang mother nature!] all weekend so we didn't get to do much of anything wedding related. But we have decided to start looking at houses! We're going to try and find a house that is a 'fixer upper' so that we can fix it the way that we want and the price would be cheaper! So fingers crossed that something turns up! I'm hoping we can find something over the summer and maybe close the deal by the time that the holidays come along! Would be awesome! Dave and I seriously can't wait to have a house of our own! I'm still working on getting him to move to the shore. Ha. We'll see how that goes!

I also have been doing pretty awesome with my Mary Kay cosmetics! I can't wait to finally start 'making' money! It takes a bit to get your business started, so within a month or so I should be rolling in some extra cash! My director is super proud of me and said that if I continue this way I'll definitely be getting a free car in no time! It seriously would be AWESOME if I could turn this into a full time job! Then I won't need to fill out any more annoying teacher applications!

Last night I spent 3 hours filling out teaching applications online! What stinks though is I can't finish until I get my Praxis scores from last month! Which will be released tomorrow online! Pressure is on! I'm pretty sure I passed, but there's always that slim chance you may not have. Which would STINK! ha. But once that's up I can send in my applications and pray that I get a call back girls! I'm fine with even just an aide position! I just need that steady income!!

So the weather is back to being yucky and miserable outside! Which means.. I get time to play online and find some decor for the engagement party! ha. =] And try to find an engagement picture location! I'm dieing to do them before it gets uber hot out.. or should I just wait until fall?? Help me out girls! What do you think??

And I know all about Praxis drama. I've passed my Praxis I's and Praxis II for English, but I have to take Praxis II for library science. The test I'm not worried about, but it's hard to find any place that offers the library science test! I wanted to take it while I was home, but the closest place to my house was almost two hours away, and it's a 7:30 am test. So I'm just going to wait until the fall, I guess. Good luck though, I'm sure you passed!!
