And I know all about Praxis drama. I've passed my Praxis I's and Praxis II for English, but I have to take Praxis II for library science. The test I'm not worried about, but it's hard to find any place that offers the library science test! I wanted to take it while I was home, but the closest place to my house was almost two hours away, and it's a 7:30 am test. So I'm just going to wait until the fall, I guess. Good luck though, I'm sure you passed!!

So I have been gone for a little over 2 weeks, and obviously by all of my recent posts have been trying to catch up on everyone's page.. I didn't exactly read everything... but I love skimming through the pictures. LOVE that hair. Your hair looks really pretty short, you definitely have the frame for it but it also looks great long... you can't even tell you have extensions! The buzz inviations are amazing, I really like the saying. & the church is beautiful.

Now I am more or less up to date, right?!

Haha, thanks! I used to have it SUPER short. Like Chelsea Kane from Dancing With the Stars. But I've been growing it out! I miss my long hair and wish I never cut it! I just feel like you can do so much more with it and if you don't feel like doing your hair you just throw it up in a ponytail! Short hair can't do that! ;D

Yes, I've definitely been taking it easy on the planning end. I'm trying to SAVE money and then we're going to start house shopping! So that way next summer I can go crazy with wedding purchases! haha.

I bought my shoes from dessy.com. They are very similar to yours but flats. I am going to add some bling to them too. Not the whole shoe probably but some.

So when we started to look for venues, & I knew that Disney World was out of the question, I immediately knew that I wanted to find some place that simulated something from Disney. We look at a few venues that looked like castles, but the prices were ridiculous & our guests would have to be separated into 2 different rooms. (big Italian family means our list is over 200 people!) Not going to happen!

We then decided that's it we're going to the beach! We located a few venues located on the beach here in New Jersey. We visited a place & it automatically reminded me of something you would find Prince Eric's dining room to look like. Ariel is my favorite princess so if possible I wanted to have myself an Ariel/Eric wedding.

So the wedding will be held at Merri Maker's at the Water's Edge in Sea Bright on October 6, 2012! Ceremony will be on the beach & the cocktail hour on a deck overlooking the beach. The venue is actually located directly on the beach. So I'm pretty excited.


We've also figured out our color scheme. We wanted to do fall but also keep it kinda of beachy at the same time.. The actual shades may change a bit but here's a general idea so far. =]


woohoo! So exciting. hehe. Next up is all the stressful stuff! We have a DJ, he's amazing! & are beginning to look for photographers. I'm also beginning to work on finding some Save The Dates.. so we shall see how they end up! Stay tuned!

Alright girls, so I'm FINALLY buckling down this week and writing you all an update! I keep meaning to get pictures.. but I keep forgetting! =X So I'll update later on with some lovely pictorals for you!

Okay, so.. our anniversary was on Monday. I got to Dave's on Friday night and he was itching to give me my gift since I walked into the door! hah. I told him no way dude! Our anniversary isn't until Monday. PLUS I didn't have his gift with me.. it was at my house. He's too cute. He really is like a small child when it comes to giving gifts. He just can't hold onto them! He ended up giving them to me on Saturday evening. The card made me cry... I was super anxious to open them. My mother had told me a few weeks ago that it was something for both of us.. which I figured on broadway tickets.. but when I saw the size of the bag I was completely thrown for a loop!! So I open it up and I gasped cause all I saw was the blue Swarovski box!


Low and behold, my dear future hubby got me my Swarovski Crystalline Toasting Flutes that I have been eyeing up since we got engaged!

He's such a damned sweetheart I really can't take it! I started tearing up instantly, which made him all teary eyed. hah. We're such cornballs. But he's a total sweetheart and can't believe he bought them for me! I had been in love with these since we got engaged, but once I saw the pricetag I honestly knew that it was pretty much never going to happen! But it did. Oh and he got me a bar of Karma soap from Lush Cosmetics. Mmmm. It's my favorite!

Aside from my AWESOME toasting flutes.. we've been focusing more on the engagement party. Last night I finalized cupcake flavors for the party with my dad and our baker. We're doing a cupcake tower and of COURSE it's going to be Toy Story themed. We just haven't thought up about the decorating as of yet. But these are the flavors

• Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Icing
• Hummingbird Cake with Whipped Icing
• Fresh Strawberry Cake with Strawberry Icing
• Lemon Angel Food Cake with Lime/Coconut Icing

I'm so excited to see how it all turns out! The top layer will be an actual 8" round Hummingbird cake so that we can cut it! Woohoo!

We're trying to come up with centerpieces for the party right now.. for decor we're thinking more along the lines of green and purple star balloons all over the yard with matching table clothes and such. Then as of right now I'm thinking of making centerpieces using the Little Green Men cause I love them little boogers so much! ha. And then on the buffet tables making something with Buzz and Jesse and then Woody and Bo Peep? I was debating on getting the cricut cartridge and making paper ones? But to me that's no fun! ha.

I also found another church I'm in love with for the ceremony.. I'm just waiting to hear back about their restrictions. It's a gorgeous Gothic looking church in my neighborhood that I had completely forgotten about! Talk about totally fitting in with our NBC theme!


Other than all that fun stuff we've just been laying low. I've been really down and out about my whole job situation just dieing to find a better one and higher paying. I feel like all I do is pull us down because of my income status and it sucks. We've started looking at houses just to get ideas of prices and such and I just wish I had more to offer.

So right now that's all that I can think of? I will definitely update this post once I take some perty pictures to share with you girlies! I miss you all mucho! And if you have any suggestions on decor for our engagement party feel free to send them my way!

So I've also got more engagement ring troubles.
My baguettes on the one side are LOOSE. Literally can move them with my finger. =/ I originally thought that they looked crooked (since I got the ring in November) but figured it was just the way the reflection from the light was hitting the cut in the diamond. Nope. Not so much. They're loose in the channel and I can move them around with my fingernail. Why I never noticed it before? I don't know. But they are. I just always thought that it was supposed to look like that. And there's also a huge chunk of platinum missing where it scratches my middle finger. I swear I feel like I am cursed. I have to go back to the jeweler this week and believe you me, I'm fighting to get a brand new setting! This is flipping ridiculous and I've absolutely had it! Does anyone know if this would be covered under jewelers insurance??

And number 2...
I've been really looking at my dress. (gulp.. Amber... don't kill me yet.) And the more I look at it and the more I see other brides in it (it is literally all OVER the one wedding boards I'm a member of other than DIS) the more I think it's overdone and I need a different one. I seriously want to cry. I haven't looked at other dresses just yet seeing as I didn't get mine in. But if I can't do some MAJOR tweeking of mine to make it more original. I think I may have to be a 2 dress bride... and just use her as a reception dress or something? I'm really torn about it. It sucks. Majorly. To the point where I'm sitting her sick to my stomach about it all. Let's just hope for my sake then when I put my dress on I get all happy go lucky and don't get sick to my stomach with regret. FML.
