First, happy belated birthday!!! Your gifts are AWESOME, everyone did a great job! And I LOVE your tattoos! LOVE THEM! I keep saying my next one is going to have at least a hidden mickey in it.

Your dress is stunning, the rings are gorgeous, shoes--awesome, I love the Rapunzel hairstyle it's sooo pretty...I too FINALLY watched Tangled a few weeks ago and I LOVED it..the floating paper lantern scene made me tear up (big shocker..I can't get through a single Disney movie without crying at least once) that would be awesome to do at the wedding! And congrats on the awesome honeymoon locale and finding a different venue. Everything looks fantastic so far and I'm excited to see more.

Aw, all is okay! =] The Jim Hjelm dresses range from upper 100 to mid 200. They're really quite reasonably and I feel like they all have that pricier look and you can do a lot with them? I've also found a few Impressions dresses.. which are simple and lower price range mid 100's to low 200. But AWESOME flatters dresses which can superbly accessroized!

Haha, great minds think alike! My mom told me the glow sticks would be superbly tacky though.. so now I'm upset!

Hello, hello, HELLO! Sorry I've kinda disappeared for a bit?? I've been a little consumed with some stuff and in a smidgen bit of a funk. The end of April, beginning of May is always really tough for me for personal reasons... can't really speak about them right now. Maybe after the time passes. heh.

I've been fighting for over a year to get my teacher certification for the state of New Jersey and now I have to take ANOTHER test this coming Saturday in order for me to get my actual license. So now I'm cramming trying to remember all of this crud from school. And I'm officially in panic mode!

Okay, so now for some good old WEDDING UPDATES...

First off, we went to go look at the church that I was hoping would be golden. Yeah. Not so much? It's wayy too small for my... DRESS! I wouldn't fit down the aisle! lol. =X Woops? But okay, that's not the ONLY reason the church was a no go.. it's really because of the fact that it had 2 aisles? Five steps I woulda been in the front of the church. Good bye anticipation! ha
But my guest list wouldn't fit worth CRUD in this church so. We're on too finding a new ceremony location. I called DF's church and my own church to get answering machines.. so I'm waiting for them to call me back. Also called a beach location down near our venue that I'm awaiting to return my call also. FINGERS CROSSED.

Second off, I've kinda had it with my sister in law? Well, FUTURE. =/
Since DF and I have started dating I have tried numerous, NUMEROUS times to get together with her to get lunch, dinner, drinks, coffee, you name it and I always get excuses from her? Always. I understand she has school and work. Totally get that part. But hello, I did that too! I took 21 credits a semester whilst still working 40 hours a week at work. Sorry but you're not getting pity from me? We had a bridesmaids get together last Friday and she came which was awesome. But then I asked her to go bridesmaid shopping with one of the other 'maids and myself the following Tuesday.. this is what she tells me 'well I have a 10 hour school day the day before and I like to sleep in on my days off' which I respond with 'okay cool, well how about 12ish? I'll meet you at the store and you can go on your way after that?' she says 'well no, when I sleep in I don't get up until 2pm so I don't think I can make it for 12.' WHAT THE FUDGENUTS?!?! Seriously. Why do they have to be so dang lazy!? I don't get it. One day you can't get up?! Seriously. My MOH just stood there in shock of her answer.
So low and behold the 2 or 3 weeks on Facebook she posts that she's going out with 'Assley'.. guess who she is? My DF's EX!!!! She still hangs out with her on a regular basis meanwhile, SHE CAN'T GIVE ME THE TIME OF DAY TO GET TOGETHER. Grrr. I will never stand a chance with this girl! Like ***. Gr. I get so aggirvated with it. I talked to DF about it and he responds with 'Who gives a sh*t, I don't have a relationship with her so why do you need to? She's completely worthless and if she doesn't make any effort with the wedding by the end of May, kick her out, it doesn't matter to me.' It's sad.. but she really is completely, totally useless. I'd feel horrid.. but it may come down to me booting her out? =/

Thirdly, we went bridesmaid shopping! Woohoo! I went with my friend Jackie who I've known for YEARS and even lived with at some point. So it was good to have some Jen and Jackie time. =] We found a couple of keeper dresses.. but first.. I will show you some of the non-keepers..

This one we FELL in love with online.. it's the ORANGE in the first picture, in person? Not so much. Plus it had an uber ugly V butt seam. Blech.

Fourthly, we have completely REINVENTED our wedding scheme. The colors are SOMEWHAT similar. But altered a bit to work with our new theme.. we really wanted to have a Halloween wedding.. it's both of ours' favorite holidays. So it'd be perfect right? Unfortunately, Halloween is on a WEDNESDAY I believe? So that is so not going to work. SO our new theme is...

Dark Whimsical Halloween

Think.. Tim Burton-esque decor, deep gorgeous colors, glitter (aka pixie dust), hidden Mickey's of course!, and very very whimsical. I have sooo many ideas floating thru my head it's crazy! I just hope it all comes together right! Dave and I are super stoked about it!

Fifthly... Mother dearest and I have been butting heads a lot lately when it comes to wedding stuff. I'm just getting aggirvated with people's reactions to everything that I wanna do with our wedding. Seriously, I only get married ONCE! (others will just be vow renewals ;D) So I want to do it right and do it big! =[ I'm just not telling anybody anything anymore. I'm at that point. She'll find out when we go to appointments and that will be that.

Sixthly.. DF and I had a MUCH needed 'us' day this past Saturday. It was awesome. We talked about our future.. a HOUSE that we can start shopping for THIS TIME next year! I got uber stoked about this. We had been butting heads a bit recently due to the fact that I refuse to rent an apartment unless it's a last resort a month before the wedding because I feel as if it is lost money. So woohoo! But I was a bit bummed out when he shot down my idea of the honeymoon package I wanted to do whilst in Saint Lucia.. originally he was gung ho! It's our honeymoon.. I want to do special things to make it different than any other vacation. But I guess I'll just have to save up some money and do it as a surprise.

Seventh.. I tried to schedule our engagement shoot last week with my photographer. She INSTANTLY shot my idea down. =[ I wanted to do it at the aquarium because we originally wanted to have our wedding there but the price wasn't do-able with our size guestlist.. so.. we nixed it. So I thought AWESOME do our e-shoot there. Yep. She said pictures wouldn't be possible.. which sent me into a PANIC about whether or not she should even be our photographer? But I guess she's just TOO lazy to MAKE the good pictures there. IDK, I'm trying not to think about it cause I got soo irritated about it.

I hope EVERYBODY had a happy Easter and Passover (I know it's not over yet.. I don't think?) and spent it with their loved ones! Since I completely overloaded you with this update.. I'll leave you with just that for now! ;D Can't think of anything else that I had missed? ha. ;P Can't wait to hear all of your input!

BTW, totally started working on a few DIY's AND engagement invites MUST be done this weekend.. soo stay tuned for another update!

Yeah, my future s-i-l may hear some choice words from me soon? But I'm trying to keep my cool for now. I'm aggirvated beyond belief. But I'm waiting it out a little longer than I usually would, BECAUSE I don't wanna create in-law drama already! ha.

The reasons she gave me were.. it's too dark and it wouldn't create any good pictures. Then um, how do people get married there? The aquarium would allow it, I already called an asked! I did my homework! But she refuses too. Kinda upsetting. But a friend of mine said for $400 he'd try it and if it didn't work, he'd shoot us somewhere else and he does AMAZING artsy shots that I LOVE. So I may have to save my moneys.

DF asked my brother.. so I felt.. being that she's the only 'sister' I had to ask her. Which I did. It's done. And she's got til June to make an effort. Sucks! Stupid me!

Yeah, it makes me really, reallly nervous. She's just such an awesome person though that's what really gravitated us towards her. We won't be able to get the discount off because the engagement session is 'free'.. Blah. But my friend said I could cancel my contract with her and then book HIM as our photographer and he'd charge us basically what the rest of our payment to her would be and would give us the same stuff.. and then some. I'm so torn. But I didn't book him to begin with because he doesn't have much 'wedding' experiece.. but his other photography is AMAZING. He's doing my boudoir shoot.

Too bad about the church, but, if it's not right, it's not right. You have plenty of time to find the right place for your ceremony. So don't let it drive you crazy when you have other more important and immediate things to focus on right now.

As for your FSIL, don't bother with trying to be buddies with her. If you're making all the effort to be friends with her and she doesn't seem interested, then forget it. She's missing out and if Dave feels the same way about not bothering, don't worry about it. Sleeping in until 2pm and not willing to make an effort for BM shopping one time, sounds pretty useless to me too.

Really like the last BM dress. Very lovely, interesting, elegant and flattering. It definitely looked the best on your model. And hooray for it being in the colors you want!

Brilliant new wedding scheme and colors. Can't wait to see your spin on it. So glad you got some time with DF and good luck house hunting in the future.

Yeah, well get this.. my DF's ex.. about 2 months ago bought a black 2010 Camaro.. meanwhile back in AUGUST I bought a yellow with black stripes 2010 2SS Camaro. Trying to be me much? Too bad she's FUGLY! I mean oops?
Yeah, I totally think it isn't fair at all. It makes me sad. Especially with my own mother. Idk, I don't get it. We're all going thru some tough stuff right now.. maybe in a month or so we'll all be good and we can all talk about it again? BLAH.

My church actually has two aisles, but it's huge so we may only end up using about half of the church anyway Things will work out, the original church I was going to use turned out to be expensive and the pastor was kind of rude, so I'm glad we ended up switching, even though the original reason why I didn't want the church I have now is because of the two aisles. It's kinda weird, but oh well!

I thought my family would be pretty easy going, but now I hear that my grandmother isn't pleased because my dad was going to wear a suit instead of a tux, and my FMIL made a comment when she found out we were having short BM dresses instead of long ones. Aw thanks girlie! Idk, I haven't brought it up with my future mother in law yet.. but I may have to. I will only have one parent-in-law.. Dave's father passed away 4 years ago. =[ Shame I never got to meet him.

Hey, hi, hello girlies!

2 updates in a week? Can you handle it?!

So, I totally forgot to mention that I started a hair makeover the other day.. tomorrow should be a better hair day (miserable weather) so I will take some pictures and show you my new look tomorrow for your viewing pleasure.

I also forgot to mention that I have recently become an Independant Beauty Consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics!! I'm excited to see where it takes me. I have always had a passion for makeup and this lets me take part in the industry WITHOUT having to go back to school. How awesome?! So if you live in the NJ/PA/NY area and are interested in products or becoming a consultant feel free to email me and we can chat!

Over Easter weekend I went somewhat purchase happy? I ordered myself some shoes to try and bedazzle once I get them in. So when they come and if they are what I'm thinking and hoping for, I will be ordering myself some crystals and starting in on my fabulous project! ha. I convinced Dave into wearing insoles to make him a smidgen taller than he already is so that he's still taller than me when I'm wearing heels. Ohh yeah. Awesomeness. Love him so much!

I also bought some tanks from Old Navy today! I plan on making 'Team Bride' tanks for my bridesmaids so I figured hey, they're on sale! So if anybody needs any, head to Old Navy! Their tanks are 50% off! And I opened a charge and got an extra 30% off! For a grand total of $27 for 9 tank tops! GO JEN! So now I'm debating on getting iron ons made or making them myself?? Hm. I was going to buy the girls flip flops too.. but decided not to because I'm not sure what color their dresses are even going to be yet? Boo. Coulda saved even more! ha.

So, I've been thinking a lot about my boudoir photos that I plan on doing for DF. I'm starting my workout regimen next week. Woohoo! First of May.. so that by winter time I look daaaaayum good! hah. I'm trying to get DF to do it too.. but he's not feeling it. I'm going to do a 'naughty princess' theme.. so does anybody have any recommendations of outfits/lingerie that I could wear? My fav Princess is Ariel of course! haha. Anything is welcome.. plus I figured I'll check out Halloween costumes! ha. They're a lil 'sk*nkish' so they could work as lingerie! ha. I'm bad. I know. I'm sorry. Hope I don't offend.

And oh my god... I got some fabulous, fabulous, FABULOUS news the other day. I believe it was Easter Sunday to be exact.
So, I was talking with my dad about Nascar the other day.. he's a HUGE Nascar fan and going to the Daytona race was the only reason why I even GOT to Disney for my first trip. lol. So I bring it up on occassion. We were talking about the races he's going to this year and I brought up how we should go back to Daytona cause it was so much fun and I get this response..
Dad: 'Well I was planning on going in November of next year, but it wouldn't be Daytona it would be Miami.'
Me: 'Oh, you mean like after the wedding?'
Dad: 'Yeah, by then I should be able to save up money after paying everything off and we can all celebrate.'
Me: 'Oh, I'm invited too?! And Dave?'
Dad: 'Yeah, we'll go to Miami for the race and then spend Thanksgiving for a little more than a week in Disney.'
Me: 'YOU MEAN WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!?'
Dad: 'I swear you are like a 5 year old. Yeah.'
Me: 'OMG it'll be like a second honeymoon! And and I can wear my buttons and ears! And we'll just say it was delayed and we can get all kinds of celebratory goodies!'
Dad: 'Yeah and you can tell them that you brought your daddy with you.'
Me: 'DUH of course! He paid for my wedding so I let him spend my honeymoon with you! And it's you and mommy's anniversary around then too! OMG free stuff and Mickey and fun! And omg, you can't change your mind on me now. We're going to have so much fun!'
And... he just laughs at me continuously!

How freaking exciting is that?! SO I may have my DisneyMOON after all! Along with a nice anniversary celebration for my parents! OMG, woohoo! Let's PRAY this works out as I'm envisioning it right now!

Okay, that's all the excitement I can handle to post right now. I'm working on a few things so plan on another update soon! But probably not until next week. I'm focusing Thursday and Friday on studying for my big test on Saturday.

So awesome about Disney Jen! I am super excited for you. I am getting anxious about MOI TRIP!!!....and the wedding of course ....everything begins in like 33 days. I am excited about getting married, but I am getting the chills thinking about Disney I made t shirts for my girls too from Old Navy I can't wait to see yours! I bought the flip flops as well, but it's probably a good a idea for you to wait then you can see what colors to get later or you could get a color that will go with anything like black??? You don't need to work out for your B pics girl you are beautiful already and your DF fell in love with you just the way you are He will be happy with them believe me!
