I guess when my prescribed medication got stolen from my room at the beginning of my trip is not serious enough because even after they promised me that the housekeeping manager will be in touch with me personally, nobody ever showed up at the scheduled meeting time.
After all, it's only my athritis and anti-depressant medication, it's nothing serious.
Well, :rolleyes
I am on several different daily meds. The first thing I do when I get in the room is lock them in the safe. I also do not bring my expensive jewelry with me and what I do bring goes in the safe too.
If my meds were stolen I'd have to go home immediately. They are expensive, controlled and much sought after on the street.
I'd be very upset too, however I don't see a need to talk to management about it more than once as it could have been anyone who took them. Housekeeping, other guests, professional thieves, anyone could have walked by when my room was being cleaned and helped themselves. It's a sad reality, but that is the world in which we live, even while we're in Disney World.
If they had not contacted me like they said they would I would have walked down and talked to them. The first week of December had record numbers of guests in the value resorts. They were mobbed and overworked. Not really much of an excuse, but at least accept that you may have been overlooked and not ignored.
It sounds to me that Disney has been disappointing you all the way around lately. Perhaps it's time to take a Disney break. Sometimes that's all it takes for a new perspective. I know, it's happened to me too. I don't blame Disney really, I just needed a break because I came to expect too much and kept getting disappointed.
We went to Universal this last trip and had a blast. Everything there just seemed newer, fresher and nicer than Disney. (!)
I'm hoping the next trip to Disney will bring back the old magic feeling the last few trips were missing. If not, I'll just take another break and go somewhere else. I hear Busch gardens and Seaworld are both simply amazing too.
