At what age does your parents let you go out with a boy or girl alone??

Not until I can drive by myself believe. I wouldn't know really, because as of yet I have never had a girlfriend, so this topic has not surfaced really. I would like to hear other people's responses to your question as well.

When i entered junior high it was decided that i couldn't date until i was 16 but than i met a guy that i really liked and we started dating...he was 18 and my parents dissapproved so we broke up but they realized that they couldn't stop me from dating so now i can date people in my school in teh grades of 9th-11th. So we made a deal...if i meet someone out of school my parents have to meet him. By the way i'm 15 and in 10th grade.

It has never really been an issue with my family. I was in the seventh grade when I went on my first date. Then last year I was asked to the prom by a senior and I was just a freshman, I was allowed to go but I said no because he made me want to vomit but that is another story!

My parents never really care, I think cause I'm a guy. My girlfriend now, Paige, is 15 and I'm 17, and her parents really freaked out about it back in October, but once they met me they loved me. I remember having girlfriends back when I was in 6th grade. It wasn't serious or anything, but I would be alone with her.

for me it was 16. that was the "legal" minimum age for me. Only my first boyfriend was when i was 15. thing was, I could only date in big groups or with another couple. we could never go out alone. I used to feel so dumb because he was two years older than me and it made me feel like I was a little kid. now that I'm older I'm glad that my mom enforced that rule because i wasn't experience enough in that area to trust my own judgement.

Well either I or my boyfriend have to be able to drive ourselves...So like in a year or 2 (I am 14 right now)
I had my 1st boyfriend last year in 8th grade and I am currently dating this guy right now(3 months on Valentine's Day!!) who is in 8th grade(I am in 9th) and he parents seem a litle bit more willing then my parents. We did go out to the movies one time alone (My Mom let us because we couldnt find anyone to go with us)
My parents say I have to go with other people to the movies(except for that one time) but I dont really like that rule alot because then people feel like a third wheel..so to speak.
But hopefully when I get older I will understand why my parents but me through all of this

My parents obviously don't want me to date, cuz they keep raising the age. When I was like 7 they said I could go out w/ a boy when I was 13. Somehow my mom now says it's 35... but I think if I had a boyfriend or whatever they'd let me go on dates.
