Dates for Spiderman rehab?

Have there been any dates announced for the Spiderman ride upgrade? We are planning an Orlando trip for Dec. 2011. It's our favorite ride at Universal. I know the upgrade isn't scheduled to open until 2012 sometime, but wondering when it will be closed?

Well, the general idea is that the ride might not even close for this upgrade. Since all they have said they will be changing are the projectors and the video that plays on them, they should be able to do that over night. It is rumored that some of the projectors have already started to get replaced, but that is just a rumor at this point.

As far as the ride being closed in Dec, if it happened, it would be open Christmas until New Years becuase this is the MOST CROWDED time of the year! If any down time was needed, it would close a few days after the new year and then reopen shortly after.

I agree and from what I've heard, you've pretty much nailed it but as you said...it's mainly rumors at this point.

So the upgrade might be done before 2012? that would be awesome if it was done before we go!
