Does anybody know when the dates for Mickey's very merry christmas party comes out? Not only the DVC discount dates but all the dates in general.

Also has anybody done the dinner reservation with the candlelight processional? Is it worth it to do the dinner reservation? If so what time would you recommend making the dinner reservation for? Where do you eat? I have seen information about the candlelight processional at Epcot and that you can make special reservations for dinner but I don't know much else about it?

Thanks for any help. Staying at AKV dec 17-24th. First stay over christmas, can't wait.

MVMCP:
November: 10, 12, 13, 17, 19, 20, 29, 2009
December: 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 18, 2009
Tickets go on sale May 1, 2009

Ticket prices and discounted nights have not yet been announced.

We do the Candlelight Processional every year, but no longer do the dinner package. We prefer to see one of the earlier performances and eat after. The dinner package requires that you eat prior to the performance you will see.

Here is a page with details about the Candlelight Processional. The 2009 info hasn't been released yet, but the 2008 info can at least give you an idea of what to plan for. http://allears.net/tp/h_cpfaq.htm

We do use the dinner package, but we tend to do the latest Candlelight Processional showing so we can eat at the latest possible time. As the previous poster mentioned, you must eat before you see the show. Also, even if you do the dinner package, it's best to line up around 45 minutes before the show starts so you can get good seats. With the package, your seats aren't reserved, you are just let in before the folks who didn't do the dinner package.

For the candlelight processional, it probably depends on when you go. We were there December 20th and felt it was WELL worth the $$ to avoid waiting in line for hours and hours hoping for a seat. The theater was packed with CP dinner package guests (the line for the middle showing for guests WITH CP package stickers stretched to Morocco!) We definitely wanted to see this show after the sun went down to take full advantage of all the lighting effects.

I don't know that it would be absolutely necessary earlier in December.

Sadly...we will miss the last party date by 2 days,:sad2:
Won't be there for Christmas till the 20th..BUT we will be there (always looking for the silver lining)..Shawnpirate:

Don't be sad - after the last MVMCP date, Disney puts all the exclusive MVMCP entertainment in the Magic Kingdom. On the 21st we saw the Christmas Parade, Mickey's Night Before Christmas, Belle's Enchanted Christmas, Christmas Wishes, and the holiday castle stage show (with SNOW!) - and the best part was - it did not cost extra!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2
