She was Diane Downs 2.0.

I vividly recall watching her fake cry asking for their return. I looked at my dad and I said she killed them.
I had never had that happen before but watching her gave me chills.

I saw it. 100% NO regarding her appeal. The punishment needs to fit the crime. I think she should remain in prison for the rest of her life.

As a mother, I say absolutely not. I remember her fake crying, saying, "I can't eat. I can't sleep." What mother cares about eating or sleeping when her children are missing? I knew then that she had killed them.

Thanks Carrie. I didn't know it was on Dateline so I just got done watching it. The Dad, David, will never get over this. And no, no ,no Susan Smith should not be paroled. She can play the Victim card all she wants but her sons, the ultimate victims will never get that chance.

It reminded me a tragedy here locally about 5 years ago.

A mother was struggled with post natal psychosis and drowned her infant and toddler in the bathtub . Three days later her body was found in the river.

After seeing David smith interviewed I wonder how her husband is doing today.

I watched. I guess I didn't keep up with the trial at the time, so I didn't realize the trauma she had been through growing up. While it did make me have some sympathy for her, I agree with everyone else, she should never receive parole. Her ex-husband, David, is carrying around such profound grief -- my heart hurts for him.

It was heartbreaking to hear him say that he has no vivid memories of the boys. Psychiatrist has told him that the memories are blocked as a coping mechanism.

Yes saw it. And she should absolutely not be paroled. And she seems to be having a grand old time in prison between the drugs and the sex so leave her where she is.
