We will be going to WDW at the end of February (2/26-3/2) staying at POR for 6 nights. We have two young children, but on Thursday their grandparents are willing to watch them for a few hours so that my wife and I can go out on a "date".

We want to go out and have a good time. (drinks and dinner)

We dont plan to bring any business/dress attire, per say, but will still be dressed nice enough for most all restaurants (I think lol)

Where would you guys suggest? Looking for the "complete" dining experience. I like steak. I prefer a low lit, nice place (but not foo-foo). I dont mind paying a premium if its worth it.

Also, not necessarily limited to MK. Any of the parks are fine.

suggestions?

"Our date place" is California Grill. If you want a quieter experience here I recommend requesting the wine room. Atmosphere and food are simply wonderful!

My other recommendation is Artist Point. Wilderness Lodge is so beautiful.
The Territory Lounge would be a nice way to begin or end your meal. Artist Point is one of the more quiet romantic gourmet settings.

Happy planning!

I agree with the previous poster that California Grill and Artist Point are both terrific but wanted to throw our other favorite out there: Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Actually, I was leaning to CG already (just from reading here). I was totally unfamiliar with Artist Point and jiko as well. I'll check those out.

Thanks guys!

anybody else?

A few suggestions we've enjoyed:

Maya Grille @ CSR, low light, romantic and they serve a very good steak;

LeCellier @ EPCOT, again low light and romantic and the Filet Mignon is great!

Raglan Road @ DTD, not low light or overly romanttic but adult fun, you know?

Enjoy the trip!!:thumbsup2

I love CG but prefer Jiko for date night. Jiko has a more adult atmosphere and is quieter - plus Victoria Lounge in AKL is a great spot to grab a pre or post dinner cocktail.

My SIL and BIL went to Citricos for their last date night and they really enjoyed it.

Another vote for Jiko. The food, service, and atmosphere are wonderful. Plus, AKL is a beautiful resort. DH & I had a "date night" there on our last trip. We got there a little early and walked around to see if any animals were out. We also had a nice, relaxing drink at the lounge before dinner.

My vote is for Jiko. I feel that it has a much more romantic atmosphere, and the food is delicious!
