Has there been any news on Tutto Italia closing in Epcot to make room for a new restaurant? The only reason I ask is because on AllEars.net where they have dining reviews, the restaurant does not come up for options in Epcot where I am certain it did in the past several weeks.

Thanks!

Well I have a CP package reservation there on 12/22, so I'm assuming it will be open!

To the PP, it was previously reported that it was going to be shut down for refurbishment / redecorating / something, even though it hadn't been open that long.

I hope not for a while...I love it there.

Tutto was only ever supposed to be a temporary restaurant to cover the time between the closure of L'Originale Alfredo di Roma and the opening of a new upscale restaurant. Various websites (including wdwinfo) quote that the new restaurant would open in fall 2008. So maybe Tutto Italia was more successful than they though and they decided to stick with it. The original plan was to close it down sometime in the summer for a complete rehab and then re-open it under a new name.

I was able to book an ADR for Jan. 5, 2009, so I would presume it will be open at least that long. I hope so anyway, my friend was there this past summer and said it was excellent.

I looked at it today on allearsnet. It's on the 2nd page of Epcot dining reviews.

It is supposed to be closed sometime before next summer and get remodeled and reopened under another new name. The name tutto italia was just temporary. I don't know if it will be the same chefs and CM's working there, but I did get this info from the official website in backstage pass when you login.

I hope they don't close it any time soon because people are still able to make ADR's for this place as of now and it would be really disappointing if they turn around and tell us we can't go there and will have to find somewhere else. They did this to the Garden Grill people so unfortunately, it is possible that some people might not actually eat there.

OMG - LOL.... I completely missed the option for page 2! I am so sorry. Either way, I figured it's a question worth asking since I had read that the restaurant was only supposed to be temporary.

Is it really good? We looked at the menu they had posted outside and then canceled our reservation for the next day because nothing sounded that good...:confused3
