Dasani in Disney. Let's do it again! Link to trip report posted!

Sorry to hear about your Dad. :( What a huge adjustment to have to make.

Anyway....
I'm happy to have found your PTR! :) Too bad you aren't going in January or February since that's when we'll probably be going. ;)

We've only done two sit-down restaurants and they were both on our last trip. We liked one. Pretty much hated the other.

Well you know you have to tell me which restaurants they were now!! ;)

We usually do go in Jan/Feb but we went to Tennessee this year instead. I hope September is good to us!

Thanks for stopping by! :flower3:

He went to the doctor and he's on his meds 3 times a day now. His bs is staying in the 300's, which is still really high, but they said it would take awhile to regulate. Come to find out, when he had labs done in 2009, his fasting blood sugar was 113, which is high for fasting. Why didn't the doctor tell him then?! He could have had it under control by now.

Thanks for asking how he's doing.

shame on that doctor!! Apparently he must've not been paying enough attention!

Ugh yeah they should have caught this back in 2009! I hate doc's that don't care. I hope it gets regulated soon.

Loved = Restaurant Marrakesh
Hated = Coral Reef

I think you'll have fun in September as long as you don't mind hot weather.

Hi Heather - just wanted to let you know I've subscribed. I've read some (maybe all) of your previous trip reports and really enjoyed them. I looked at a few of your recent pictures and it amazes me that you look younger with each new child! How awesome that must be. Can't wait to go back and catch up.

Oh, and we went in September last year and loved it. Didn't really find it to be too hot, and we didn't see any rain. No lines. Just awesome.

I think it depends on one's personal definition of "too hot." The average highs at WDW in September are around 90. Lows in the 70's.

For me, anything over 72ish is too hot.

For the heck of it, I looked at the historical info for dates in mid-September (I chose the 14th-21st but I think Heather is going a bit later.)

The Average High Temperature is 89 F with a historical range of 73 F to 95 F
The Average Low Temperature is 74 F with a historical range of 64 F to 79 F
There is a 52% chance of a Hot Day (temperature over 90°F / 32°C).
(63 days out of 120 in historical record)
Most consecutive days found in historic record: 7

The Average Daily Precipitation is 0.27 with a historical range of 0.00 to 3.07
There is a 41% chance of a Precipitation Day.
(49 days out of 120 in historical record)
Most consecutive days found in historic record: 7

The Average High Dew Point is 75 F with a historical range of 67 F to 82 F
The Average Low Dew Point is 68 F with a historical range of 54 F to 77 F
There is a 94% chance of a Sweltering Day (dew point over 70°F / 21°C).
(113 days out of 120 in historical record)
Most consecutive days found in historic record: 8

Yep. Too hot for my blood. But I know a lot of people love that kind of weather.

Ugh yeah they should have caught this back in 2009! I hate doc's that don't care. I hope it gets regulated soon.

I hate doctors like that too. My cousin is a nurse and she said that her dad's white blood count was down once and they never told him. Well, she saw it on his paperwork and the doc was like, Oh I forgot he had a nurse in the family. What the heck?! So you only tell the patient if they have a chance of finding out from someone else. So dumb.

No clue. I looked a few days ago and didn't see anything yet. It usually starts around the 14th of Sept.

Hmmm. Thanks! I hope they come out soon!

I hear a lot of mixed reviews on Coral Reef. It's a bit to expensive to take a wild chance on this trip, but maybe in the future we'll try it out for ourselves.

I don't mind hot weather TOO much. I'd prefer it over freezing actually.

Thanks so much for posting!! Look younger with each child, are you crazy? haha I guess having kids just keeps you young at heart! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the info on September. I'm so ready to go!

I'd be fine with that weather, I just have to make sure the kids stay cool. I actually hate the freezing weather in January when we go. It's miserable. I'm definitely a summer girl, I hate hate HATE winter. It's dreary, cold, and depressing. I also don't mind the rain showers that come with summer, but again, it's going to be mostly about the kids. I guess we'll be taking a lot of pool breaks!

I think anything under like 68 is cold! :rotfl:

Geez! That is absolutely ridiculous!!!

Me too girl! I can't remember when they usually announce the dates. Maybe 90 days out?

That is nothing in comparison to Louisiana. :rolleyes1

We are so used to the humidity here. I'd say Orlando is actually not quite as bad as Louisiana!

I love going in September. The water features can help when you get hot...and at least it's not as bad as July! (believe me, I've been in July)

Ok thanks! I'll need to figure out when I'm 90 days out lol

I agree, it's HOT here! I went to Disney (my first trip ever) in August and it really wasn't THAT bad. You're right about the humitity, that's what makes it so miserable.

We went in May for our honeymoon and there was one hot day but the rest was really nice. I'd love to go during that time again.

Hey, Heather!! I'm so glad I found this. I was over on the 16 and Pregnant thread, and happened to see your link!

I'm so happy to see that y'all are going back! And I'm really glad that I found this thread so that I can read all about it!

I have to tell you that all of our bigger trips to Disney have been in September, and we really love going then. All the times we've been, it's been pretty warm, so you definitely don't have to worry about being cold. Plus, the crowds seem to be a lot slimmer which is nice too! I think you'll like it a lot!:thumbsup2

We have miserable Summer's here too. Heat and humidity. Yuck. I'm dreading it.

Growing up, we went to WDW in June (three times) but since I was young, it didn't bother me. As an adult, I just can't handle the heat at all.

Yay, so glad you made it over!!! :thumbsup2 Thanks for the info on September. I'm hoping for small crowds!
I really need to get some more plans going. I've been hoping to get Ohana, but no luck yet :sad2:

I like summer! at the beach anyway. I don't like being miserably hot though. Hopefully it'll be starting to cool off a bit since we're going at the very end of Sept. That would be nice!

Hey Heather, didn't know where to find you so I went to one of your old TRs and lo and behold I found a link and here I am. It's been so long since I talked to you, I'm not sure if I told you congratulations on Brynn.

Is it too early to tell if Brayden loves Dole Whips? (Never mind, saw your comment that he loves pineapple)

Love your night shots of the Sorcerer hat and Castle.

Wow, being a surrogate mother would is such an amazing, generous thing you could do for someone. :thumbsup2 I admire you for that.

Congratulations on booking your September trip.:goodvibes

I'm not very good at offering dining suggestions because I haven't ate at a lot of places but I definitely would suggest Chef Mickeys. (Which after further reading, you booked yay!!!) Yay for getting Crystal Palace, Ohana, Sci-Fi and Whispering Canyon. Very fun places but I've only ate at one of the four.

Oh goodness, sorry to hear about your dad. It's get you had your monitor. I hope he is doing better now. It's a shame they didn't catch it back in 2009. :sad2:

My Easter was pretty good, how was yours?

Hey!!! Thanks so much for posting. Sorry, I'm just now seeing your post or I would have replied sooner!

Yes, Bray loves pineapple. I can't wait to get him a Dole Whip in September. I bet he's going to love it!

I'm excited about Chef Mickeys! I really hope the kids aren't scared of characters or that's going to really stink!

Our Easter was fun. We had lunch at my mom's and all of Brayden and Brynn's cousins came over and the kids hunted eggs. It was really cute!

I'm so glad you stopped by! :wave2:
