I have a question...new to DAS myself, I have it set from a virtual chat for upcoming trip. However, I don't know how to see it on my app...is that something that only shows as an option for picking an attraction *after* entering the park? IS there some sort of indicator on the app ahead of time (30 day mark) that shows it's approved? Or is this something that shows only when entering park? thanks...

It won’t show until after you enter a park. This is from the DAS sticky (more info in that post):

Tile for DAS will show up on My Disney Experience app AFTER the person registered for DAS has tapped in to the park.
To make a DAS Return Time on the app, log in, then tap the 3 lines in the bottom menu button.

That will open a screen of tiles for different functions/services. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the DAS tile .

Tapping the DAS tile will open a list of attractions available for DAS, along with the current wait times. tap the one you want.

Huh. Is this different from Disneyland? We can see the DAS tile all the time once my son is registered. You can't book anything until you scan into the park.

The poster was asking how/if she would see it to know she was actually registered right after registering.
At least at WDW, the DAS tile won’t show until the first time you enter a park after registering.

After that first entry, the DAS tile will continue to be visible until the DAS registration is expired.

Thank you for the answers.... So I have another family member who was there recently, and I'm "friends" on their app, I can see their name when I click on the tile. So I assume that is b/c of the "friend" thing...and my own will appear when needed, when I'm visiting....(I hope that's how it works at least) I appreciate the helpfulness

Yes.
You can see hers because you are friends with her.
After you enter a park for the first time, yours will show up there too

Mine didn't show up all day yesterday in the app and I don't know why. We have used DAS for years and I'm the one that usually schedules everything so I'm well used to it. Refreshed several times and even logged out. I know I was scanned into the park because other family members could schedule for me and I was able to use a virtual queue.

Has any one else had this experience?

To ask the obvious… did you renew the DAS recently or has it possibly expired? And are you the DAS-holder or a member of your party who maybe hadn’t been scanned in or became disconnected from your account? I would have stopped at a blue umbrella to get it resolved.

I'm the family member of the DAS holder that manages the service (getting the passes, etc...) The blue umbrella CMs didn't know why it happened but other family members could "see" me and make selections. No, it is not expired or recently renewed. One CM actually said, "you know our IT department is run by Goofy, don't you?" HaHa! They didn't know why it happened. Since it worked with other family members, I didn't take time until later to talk to them.

Today it worked fine.

We’ve been on multiple WDW trips since DAS Return Times became able to be booked on the My Disney Experience app.
Our daughter is the DAS holder and my husband manages. The same thing has happened to us each trip - our daughter’s DAS tile disappears and reappears without explanation or reason, including one we just returned from on Friday.

One time our friend could see our daughter even though we couldn’t, but he could not make a Return Time. When we’ve gone to the blue umbrella, the CM could see it and make Return Times, even though we couldn’t see it.
It‘s hard to know if any of these things actually helped since the DAS seems to appear and reappear kind of randomly:
- make sure you are logged into your account.
It sometimes logged us out during travel to the park. Most of the time, it automatically logged us back in once we had been in the park a few minutes, but sometimes we had to enter the password to log back in. The same thing sometimes happened when we were in an area of the park with weak wifi - it came back when the signal was stronger.

- log out of My Disney Experience, then log back in

- hard close the app (how to do that depends on your device)

- make sure My Disney Experience app is up to date. The most recent for Apple devices was May 2

- we were also told to try deleting and then reinstalling the app. We didn’t do that any of our trips, because the DAS tile randomly reappeared before we had a chance
