We are taking out first trip to Disney with our 5 year old and 3 year old. 5 year old has autism and we plan to get the DAS for him since he has major issues with waiting in lines. The 3yo is too short for some of the rides and we were wondering if my husband could use the DAS and go with 5yo and I get a rider swap so I could go on with him also. I hate to miss seeing him excited and loving something bc his brother is too small to ride. Thanks!

You can use das and rider swap together, but neither one will allow your son to ride twice in a row. He can ride with dad, then the swap you will ride alone. If you ask at the ride some of the CMs might permit it, but that would be pixie dust so don't expect it

if they get a DAS return time for soarin and and the little one is too short then they will wait there time on the DAS the whole family will go to the FP when they waited there time they will tell the CM that they would like a rider swap pass ( and depending on the ride they will be given the pass right there and then or a lanyard and will train it in further in line. when they are done with the ride they will give the rider swap to the other parent and this will allow you to take 3 people with you so the son can ride 2x. there will be no pixie dust of this as this is what rider swap dose. only difference here is that they are not waiting in line the first time just out of it with the DAS card.

In this case the OP would be issued a paper rider switch pass, he/she and up to 2 others (3 total riders) can return to the ride anytime that day and ride via the FP+line. So yes the other child can ride again and the 2nd parent doesn't have to ride alone.

just an FYI rider swap pass are good until the end of the month so if they go on the 1 they could use there pass until the last day of the month, but if they go the last day they have to use it that day ( the date will be printed on the pass) just incase the OP would like to use it latter.
