Darkest Beer at Biergarten?

We have ADR's for dinner at Biergarten at the end of March. I really love dark beer - the darker the better. Which of the beers that they serve at Biergarten is the darkest?

The last time I was there (2010), I had a gigantic mug of Spaten Optimator. It was dark and smooth and exceptionally good. I am looking forward to reacquainting myself in May!

The Optimator was there at that time, but the last time we were there (I think winter 2010) it had been replaced by Beck's Dark (which can't compare).

Hopefully there has been a change and they have it again! We will be there at the end of March and looking for dark beer as well!

The darkest beer you will find, if I'm remembering correctly from our December trip, is Altenmuster Oktoberfest.

The loss of Spaten Optimator is truly sad news! My very favorite beer style is Doppelbocks, and Optimator was a great one. *sad*

i don't know about the dark beer cause i had the light but we loved this restaurant, all my years going to disney and last dec. was our 1st time here and the food was so good and we love the whole atmosphere, i never knew this great restaurant was hiding back there!! have fun!

Do they also have the Altenmunster Dunkelweizen as well? I know I saw that in October, but that may have just been for the F&W Fest.
