My family had a GREAT server while at Chef Mickey's on Sunday, 12/11/05. Super w/ my children ( calling them by their names), nice friendly attitude and smile, but the best part was how he helped me out. I am diabetic, and while on vacation really wasn't being good (
I know not smart, but the food porn kind of sucks you in!). Some how it came up about my sugar levels and he said he was hypoglocemic ( sorry about the spelling!), and could relate. He explained how on the dessert buffet there were sugar-free brownies that were yummy, and how he takes one of the small cheese cake bites ( not sugar-free, but small portion) and pours choc. sauce over it ( can't remember if the choc sauce was sugar-free, but again was a small amount). Then he told me to sit right there, he went up to the buffet and put the lower carb. master piece together. I really felt like he took the time to take good care of us. Great job, I hope some how this message of thanks will reach him. Maybe after the holidays, when things settle down, I'll contact the big wigs at Chef Mickey and let them know what a nice person they have working for them. Thanks Daniel - hope you and your family have a happy holiday season!
