Dang!!! People aren't messing around!! 7DMT FPs

Today we are 59 days to our no-kids F&W weekend.

I logged on to MDE to make our FPs, and on the day we wanted to go to MK the only FPs left for 7DMT were in the evening. (These don't help us much since we have ressies at Le Cellier that evening and it is a MNSSHP at MK that night, which we shan't be attending.)

Clearly I dropped the ball by not making our FPs yesterday at the 60 day mark. Even though I frequent these boards, I guess I just didn't realize how *serious* people are about doing battle for those FPs. My bad! Lol!

We'll have to see how badly we want to do RD that morning and hoof it to 7DMT and wait in the SB line. I wonder: Do they still save some FPs for the day of?

I'm sort of surprised that I'm not more upset. I just have to chuckle at the whole thing. Maybe it's because it's just DH and I, and I don't have to deal with my kids' disappointment?

Note to self: Don't mess with new ride FPs!!!

A lot of people have reported success in grabbing these FPs a day or two away from needing them, as that's when plans change most dramatically. Great attitude though about just laughing it off.

Make sure you really are there at rope drop. We missed rope drop by a couple of minutes and there was already a 90 minute wait. It was EMH morning and we were at the back of the line by 8:10. We decided to just wait for our FP time.

Well I see you must be going the same weekend as we are going, based on that number!

I have an on-site reservation but will be cancelling it. So I've just been playing around with some FP+ ressies to test the system. This is good news for you, since from what I understand as soon as I cancel my on-site reservation it will most likely drop those FP+ ressies.

I will say that I've even played around with bookings a week or two in advance, and every now and then I've been able to snag a FP+ ressie for 7DMT but not for all 7 of us. I can usually get 2 or 3 of us on it but if I am looking for 7 people, not so much.

So the good news is that I would not give up hope. I am sure there will be openings. I think I have one FP+ ressie for 7DMT for that weekend for 7 of us, that I'm sure will become available!

I'm going into this WDW trip with pretty low expectations as far as rides. I am HOPING we get to ride 7DMT at least once, even if it has to be during MNSSHP which we do plan to attend. The kids I know will want to try the new ride...anything beyond that is a bonus.

Since we have APs with water parks, I'm hoping the late Sept weather will be conducive to some visits to water parks. After all, we can visit a water park EVERY day during our trip if we want, just for fun. I think that would be fun for the kids.

There are 4 adults (we are traveling with my husband's parents) so we definitely have plans to visit the F&W festival at least once or twice too.

I'm going to wait until 2 weeks and even a few days before our trip to really book our FP+ for real and see what we get. By then our on-site reservation will be cancelled and the chances of having anything dropped at that point should be gone.
