Is it just me, or does it seem like all the dancers are on edge now and are worried about Marie?? All the looks on their faces. It seems like they have to fake that they are happy and "into" it. I know I freaked-I couldn't imagine what it was like to have to dance after that.

I think it is a matter of Marie and the fires out there. It wouldn't surprise me if they have friends and family in the fire areas.

Honestly, how could Len give both Mark and Helio a 7? Maybe Helio was a little mechincal, but he's so much better than Mark. He deserved an 8.

I'm not a fan of JLo's music, but I'm always interested in seeing her on TV. I like to see what she's wearing, and IMO she always looks gorgeous (hair, skin makeup.) Does anyone know if she has announced publicly that she's pregnant?

Even though I watched it today and knew what was going to happen to Marie, it was still a shock seeing her drop like that. I was listening for it and could hear how hard she was breathing right before it happened. It sounds like she hyperventilated. I did think everyone was off tonight. I'm sure they were already probably upset by the fires, then seeing Marie fall like that at the start made it worse.

I do hope Mark goes home tonight. Let the dancers stay.

I think Marie just got a little too winded and then she just couldn't stop laughing. As she said, she basically stopped breathing.

As I suspected, they keep medics right there to see to any possible problems. As long as she didn't do any damage from the fall, she should be fine.

I did like Jane's dance.

I commented on the other thread...about her fainting.

I have a history of passing out with shots and near passing out--I giggle nervously just before I am about to pass out. After the 2nd time, I now receive any shots or blood draws while on a bed. Sometimes my nerves get the best of me and I still do the giggles and start breathing heavy and we resort to distraction to prevent me from passing out (which really can't be done in a bed so much...but still feels like it and thus helps me from getting hysterical).

The last time I passed out was when I was 17..and while I didn't act as weird as Marie with the bouncing....I did start speaking more quickly and began rambling and got lucy goosy.


If she has a history--I am surprised that she didn't do what she could to prevent passing out. But now that I think about it--she probably didn't want to call attention to it on air.

And once you get in that mode--unless you sit down and do something to prevent passing out--you can't stop it. The feeeling is very very weird. And sometimes you just go with the flow thinking you won't drop--but you most certainly will.

I can now "smell" it--kind of weird but I do not know how else to describe it--but I can tell. I got very sick a couple of months ago and woke up in the middle of the night and felt that way and immediately went down to the floor. When I tried to get up--the feeling wasn't gone and I had to crawl and get my daughter to get me the phone to call 911. All ended up going okay (Except the high fever and need for antibiotics)--but if you faint often...you pretty much can anticipate it. Marie's behavior from the on-line clips suggest to me...that she knew it was coming and was trying her best to "shake it off"--hence the jumping and silliness she was displaying.

It was a very shocking thing to hear and then watch.

My thoughts so far:

First off, I hope that Marie is okay! Jon was not ready to cath her..you really heard the thud.

Anyway, our favorites are Sabrina, Marie, and Helio (though he hasn't been doing as well as he did at first.)
Sabrina is the top favorite though..our favorite last year was Joey. We don't have a thing about 'liking to see them go from ok to great." Some are just naturally better than others.

Rankings:

1. Sabrina-Yes she has the 'dancing' background but a lot of them do, hip hop or otherwise. Jane danced in her youth, and Mel did hip hop dancing as an SG. Everybody gave Joey a lot of grief last year too. I think that experience might lead to some more..coordination...but not necessarily a huge advantage. She's the best and most entertaining.

2. Helio-If he says "I am race car driver" one more time, he moves down a space or two!! Really though, he's a very likable guy who dances very well. Julianne is our favorite pro as well.

3. Marie and Mel-Marie's third because she is so entertaining. Tied with her is Mel because she is very talented..and Maksim is hilarious. The dance is always sort of about him, and we think it's funny.

5. Jennie-She is good, and I think the producers would like it to be her vs. Helio in the end simply to have the brother vs. sister drama, but she's just a little forgettable.

6. Jane-She dances very well, and I feel sorry for her about her mother, but since the lift controversy, we don't like her. She seemed like such a sore loser and you coud see her rolling her eyes whenever it was mentioned...Sheesh it's one point!

7. Cameron-We just don't like him. His comments are supposed to be funny, but they come out annoying. We didn't like his Superman dance or his dance this week. (They overdid Clark Kent/Superman ALOT.)

8. Mark-We like his partner, but he just doesn't dance well. And who on earth makes up this fanbase that keeps him here week after week? I can understand someone like Marie haveing a lot of fans...but him?

That is possible. I was wondering if he's offering all the people who work for him some kind of bonus if they sit at work and vote for him. Because I can't think of who his fans would be. I like that he is so driven, you can tell how he got to where he is. But he's not a good dancer, let the others who are doing better stick around.
