Okay now I am annoyed. Apolo and Julianne did the same choreography in their jive, and Len said he didn't like it and that all that arm waving wasn't jive. But I guess since this week Joey is the favorite, he gets a pass, and straight tens? Pfft.

Me: That Apolo is so darn cute!
Celia: I don't think he's cute.
Me: He's good enough to eat!
Celia pauses: You say that I'm good enough to eat.

Jive is a dance style in 4/4 rhythm that originated among African-Americans in the early 1940s. It is a lively and uninhibited variation of the Jitterbug, i.e., belongs to Swing dances.

In Ballroom dancing, Jive is one of the five International Latin dances. In competition it is danced at a speed of 44 bars per minute, otherwise at between 32 and 40 bpm.

Gosh I thought they all did great tonight, although Billy Ray really didnt do much in the first dance...

And Julliane.. I think the dances she creates are more cutting edge and contemporay takes on the dances. Very unique choragraphy... Like last week. The chair dance was LOVELY. Their first dance tonight.. they were floating on air, pure joy to watch.

BRC will move on next week due to fan base, and John will be gone. :-(

GREAT show tonight!!

I really enjoyed the show tonight - heck, even Samantha didn't bug me as much as usual.

Laila - I am with LilIrishChick. There was something about that 2nd dance that just didn't quite work for me but DH *loved* it and obviously the judges did as well. I really liked her first dance.

John - he is working so hard. I am really impressed with the effort he is putting forth. He definitely isn't relying as much on stunts as the previous seasons' older gents have. I am afraid he might be going home but I think he has done great!

Billy Ray - Good heavens! I do believe he was sending the message that he is READY to leave the show. "I wanted to showcase this wonderful dancer before I left..." I guess he is planning on leaving. Bruno was right - somehow he gets people to watch him and you actually end up enjoying some of it. I think if Billy Ray had gotten his 8, he would have said that he had accomplished what he came for and it was time to go home!

Ian - Ewww! What was with that red shirt?? It looked SO out of place on him! Bleh! Ian has the hip action and the dancing ability, so I am confused by why he can't get better scores. For me, I enjoy his clips more than his time on the dance floor.

Apolo - Still not my favorite but I am left wondering WHY the judges were SO hard on him. Maybe they want people to vote more?? Maybe he was too good at the beginning and has grown?? As usual, he performed extremely well. I am shocked there are Julianna haters out there somewhere. She is one cute girl!

Yo-ey! Still my FAV! Way to go, Joey! He pulled out two great dances and got a perfect score! WOOOOO!! I think their jive was awesome!!

And wow! I was really off on my guesses for tonight's dances! So much for that logic!
