He's funny too! I saw him this summer at CMA briefly with the actress who plays Carly, he's a multi-talented person...he's a musician too

I'm not surprised either. Since Robert has such entrepreneurial expertise, I'm sure he's already working on another way for Kym to incorporate dancing into a new business, which does not require her to work a gazillion hours a day, for several weeks in a row, with no days off, and possibly injuring herself, the way so many other dancers & stars on this show have, with such a rigorous schedule.

With only one TV schedule to work around, Robert on Shark Tank, and Robert being the head of his own companies, they can schedule their lives & time to travel the world or whatever, and just be happy newlyweds.

It looks also like Derek isn't returning as a pro ever. Hairspray is advertising him as former dancing pro

I think the same as what I wrote above for Derek, in terms of having such a hard schedule to compete on this show. I thought he'd be gone after he hurt his foot that one season. With his ability to choreograph for other people, like Charlie & Meryl, and now performing on Broadway, he no longer NEEDS to come back. Like his sis, Julianne, he can just come back to guest judge between other stints, and won't have such a rigorous dance pro schedule where he possibly hurts himself again.

Me too! Then I thought, "Are we going to see Robert Palmer doing a dance with a lot of female backup dancers with their hair slicked back and holding guitars, pretending play?"

Yes the rumor mill is really slow. I saw something about a huge "get" and that was why they moved the rehearsals to keep it a secret. And then no more rumors....

I wonder who the big "get" could be? I'm thinking a boy band member, since it seems like we already have an Olympian.

Or a rather big ABC star who can dance really well. They could have told his/her agent that ABC will promote the star in a similar way that Ginger got such multi-ABC-shows promotion, being on GMA for interviews, then a blurb on ABC News affiliates during the entertainment segments, and of course on DWTS. (Although I don't think any of that was thought of or planned out for Ginger ahead of time.) And if the star CAN really dance well, it won't seem suspicious or coincidental at all when that star gets, "the first 10 of the season," and "the first perfect score of the season."

That too. But, what he probably TOLD her was that he'd start a company for her, so she wouldn't want to work on the show anymore.

Yes!! We have had enough of those seasons recently. Wish they would announce already. The suspense is killing me. I honestly haven't watched much TV since the last season wrapped. I'm TV deprived.
