Aw. That was a great way to spend a day, wasn't it? :goodvibes

Is that first ride we went on together?

And I snortlaughed at your last comment. :thumbsup2

...

It was the first two-seater that you offered to ride with me (apparently I was being SO accommodating that I kept insisting you and Tink ride together, happy to do the solo-seat bit). The first actual ride we all did was POTC!!! Woot!

So it's a first of sorts! :thumbsup2

Can you believe I actually did remember that POTC was our first ride? What the _____ is wrong with me???? :lmao: Now that you say it, I do remember waiting for you in front of the flag with Tink. pirate:

....the doctors finally did what they were trying to avoid - they amputated my brother's left leg, 5 inches below his knee [and, he is also permanently blind]....plus, my DS, who went into the NJ State Tropper's Police Academy last Monday, is now out....he blew out his knee and they think he tore his meniscus....he'll have to wait 2 years to re-enter....

I'm so sorry Kimmar.

I'm sorry. That's not good for anyone.

Yeah and then going down through the queue you guys made me pose in front of the cannons and go "Aaarrgh" and someone still has that photo!! Can't express the level of embarrassment going on there......:faint:

:rotfl2:

So DH and DS13 arrived safely home yesterday after a long 2 days on the road! It is so weird to see my dad's truck in my driveway, and a little bittersweet as well. :( Although like I told him, I'd rather be acquiring the truck like this, because he's given up driving, and not because he's not around to drive anymore.

DH was absolutely in love with his three days in FL.....freely admitted he didn't want to come back!! I can't say I actually want to try living in FL again, but at least I know he's ready to board the get-out-of-here train. Not right now, but someday.

.

LegoMom, I am the holder of said photo.

And all I can say is if you don't want it leaked, I hold you to the promise that we WILL go back together someday. That is all. ;)

That's awesome to have your dad's truck. I get the bittersweet feeling, but you are right, much better for him to make a conscious choice not to drive.

Can't remember if I mentioned it here, but I bit the bullet and booked our return flight. My primary concern was really for my FIL, who is paying in cash (we're using points). I had enough points to book his reservation with them, and if the cost goes down, I'll just have him give me the cheapest fare available. Made more sense to do it that way since points can be deposited back into your account and don't expire, whereas a flight credit for him isn't worth it since we do not go together every year. (This is all on Southwest.)

Anyway, it feels quite good to have it all settled. So our official dates are Oct 8 - 14, 2013. And my birthday is the 9th. I can't wait to spend the MK in my birthday! I'm also really excited to go with Nana again. Not sure if I've mentioned it, but even since my mom passed, Nana has gone to the World several times by herself (they used to go together). It will be really nice to go with her and make some lovely memories.

Congrats! Sounds like some great memories are going to be made and shared on this trip. :goodvibes

I'm toying with the idea of a late-winter/early spring solo trip next year. Which could become a duo. :rolleyes1

So I just renewed my Live365 membership (I have a deep-seated aversion to ads......). MAN did I miss this stuff!!! I've already had Tomorrowland BGM, Tree of Life BGM, and now Flame Tree BBQ!!!!!

And now I really want to go back!!!!!!!!!!!!

(now I'm listening to AKL music......:cloud9::cloud9::cloud9: )

I can't wait. I know some people don't enjoy the big family trips, but we really do. I'm a family girl. I love them. Sharing a meal at home or sharing a meal in the World, it's all awesome to me. :thumbsup2

Any shot you're thinking of early May? Because Nana and I are SO going on a girls trip in 2014.

Ugh. I hate the ads too. The Progressive Auto Insurance ones are engraved in my brain, but I just can't stomach the membership price. Maybe I should bite the bullet and do that too. It's a Disney kind of day.

I'm going to put on MouseWorld Radio now.

:rotfl:

You can do it monthly and it's not quite as painful. :rotfl: I just did a quarterly membership (around $23 each time; also not so painful).

No, I really wasn't thinking early May but who knows. I'd love something late January, since that's around my birthday and everything is usually less expensive during that low time. Or the very end of Feb., first week of March. Also a quick "in between" season (those are getting harder to come by!). Could be May I suppose.......who knows!

.

January is a month we'd debated as well, because it's so inexpensive, but I love the weather in early May. Used to go at that time of year with my mom and Nana. :goodvibes

For any who are interested, I'm going to trip report my Sept solo. Here's a link to the first chapter:

Off to Neverland!

I basically just continued my pre trip report, pm'ed the mod, and am waiting for them to move it to the trip report board. :thumbsup2

Not working. Not happy. The end.

And on to better things......I'm going to try to catch up on PiO's and TK's TRs today! At least get started. :thumbsup2
