Dance Moms - anyone still watching?

So glad that Kelly will likely be gone...sick of her cry baby whining. And her kid is way too old to be in this group. Peyton is way too old as well. I really like Peyton's mom, Leslie, though. She has everyone's number and tells it like it is. I think Nia has the best parenting and will do well in life no matter what plays out with this dance stuff. I think Abby is right in that Maddie is carrying this team. I was shocked to hear that a couple girls didn't make booty camp...in my girls' club softball, they had better make winter workouts and everything else or they will spend a lot of time warming the bench. There are just way too many other girls willing to do everything (work hard) and take their place and I am all for Abby bringing in those girls. I do wonder if, due to the show, Abby signed some sort of contract where she can't 'cut' these main dancers. I think that's why she does some of the things she does...to get rid of the ones who are not helping out the team (so she can replace them with better).

I feel like Maddie and Nia will grow and come out unscathed but the other kids including Mackenzie will grow up with all kinds of neuroses from this experience. Peyton looks like she will break. I really feel bad for her! Everyone forgets these are little kids!

She's praised too much and she always wins so when she grows older & other dancers start beating her out I think she's going to have a meltdown. I remember a couple of episodes when she's made a mistake on stage, Mackenzie tries to hug her, and Maddie shoves her away because she's freaking out. There's so much pressure on her and Abby & her mother do not help.

I think Nia is "winning" in that she seems unfazed by all the yelling and screaming, has a good mom and has other interests other than dance. She is flying under the radar. In 30 years we will see President Nia Frazier of the United States. Hope she can get elected after that "Laquifa" debacle.

It's really obvious that it's fake now. You can tell just from the way Abby and the Moms are now doing their hair and makeup for every show.

I have always thought that Holly was pretty, but this last week I had my jaw drop! Holy Cow that woman is beautiful!!!! I have always thought that Nia was beautiful, but with Holly hair down and done in a style like Nia......bombshell!

I think all of the girls are drop dead gorgeous! Especially Brooke and Paige.

I read somewhere that the moms/kids had a contract for a certain length of time, so that is why Kelli kept coming back even after threatening to leave 500 times. It sounds like maybe the contract finally ended if they are no longer on Abby's ALDC team.

I think the new dancer is Kalani from the Ultimate Dancer show. She was wonderful. I kind of wished she'd bring JoJo in...that mom is crazy just like the others so she'd make it very entertaining.

I took dance and cheer for several years, so this show kinda hits home for me. It's a sick obsession (along with Days of our Lives) and my husband hates it. I'm happy I found some people to talk to about it!

I definitely believe that she is the most beautiful, physically, of the women on this show (I started to say "ladies" and then decided that Holly is the only lady of the bunch). However, not only is she the most beautiful physically, she is also the most beautiful inside. She is never the one yelling, cussing, and carrying on. She isn't pushing her daughter past the breaking point, making excuses for her daughter when things don't go perfectly, or babying her daughter. She treats Nia with respect, encourages her when necessary, and supports her in a healthy way. Way to go, Holly! It can't be easy when you are surrounded by some nutty fruitcakes in those other dance moms.

Asia is a much better dancer than JoJo but they are both adorable.

True. Personality-wise, Asia has a very humble and subdued personality while JoJo is on 10 all the time. She project her facial expression across the grand canyon. Kendall should take lessons from her.

They are good dancers... But not Maddie and Chloe good.

I actually think Chloe is the best dancer with the nicest personality. I wish her mother would get her off of tv and out of that environment so she can blossom.

I can't stand Asia or JoJo or their moms. Not sure why. I'm interested to see what happens this season. I don't like Leslie or Payton's attitude , they seem to think they are better than everyone

I think Kendall is great! Kendall's problem (same as Chloe) is she doesn't have "musicality" like Maddie does. Kendall and Chloe just don't feel the music for whatever reason. Maybe she can develop over time. I have never focused on Peyton but from what I saw in rehearsals she is a good dancer. She wouldn't be there if she wasn't.

Oh don't get me wrong I think they are all fantastic! Some are just better than others.

Maddie's moves never seem finished. Like she's not following through or something.

I'm not a dancer. My cousin owns a studio and she says it's part choreography and part Maddie's body type. She's not as "flowy" as Chloe... If that makes sense. Chloe has a dancer's body and poise. (Her summary, not mine lol)
