Damaged Merchandise?

My wife bought one of the charm bracelets from the jewelry counter in one of the stores on Main Street during our trip in July. One of the charms she bought (has Mickey on it) had the black part of Mickey's face fall off (not extremely well made if you ask me). What would be the best way of exchanging it now that we're back in Indiana, or is it even possible to do? We have the original receipt, and it has the MDSE # on it, but I thought I'd ask here before giving it a try.

Look at the receipt--there is a phone number on the bottom that you can call for Merchandise Guest Services. That is the best way to proceed.

You can do this by e-mail as well. If you log into the WDW site, there is a place that says Contact Us - click on that, then click on the Merchandising area. Include your name, address, phone, and e-mail in the message. Describe the problem, being sure to include the item description, stock # and price from your receipt. They will get back in touch with you.

We bought some socks for my DH during our June/July trip. When I brought them home and washed them - 2 ripped off right at the cuff, and the Mickey applique fell off of the others!


They immediately sent out a new set of socks. No problems with these!

Is it one of the stainless steel and 18 Karat charms. I think they are called Italian charms. I got one and it fell apart as soon as I tried to put it on my bracelet. I have alot of the charms that are name brand but this one was just cute so I bought it. I found out the hard way that these charms need to be a name brand.

Yes, it is one of the Italian charms. We figured that since they were much more expensive than the $3 charms they sold on the jewelry turn displays that they would be of higher quality. It appears that we were wrong.
