First off, this party location makes it 100% worth the price. The quiet terrace and few people around make it a great experience. My DH and boys also enjoyed their desserts very much. Tink literally flew over our heads. So again, I would do this again even though I found the desserts to be terrible.

Maybe I spoiled it by going to Babycakes first b/c they are amazing!

I was brought a separate plate about 20 minutes after everyone else had been to the dessert buffet (and many people made it up there more than once). I was o.k. but it may be hard for a child to wait so long.

i suspect my desserts were also gluten free, which I have no problem with.

My plate had a big cookie on it which was soggy (I am 99% sure my plate was in the fridge or freezer before I got it). I also had a french meadow brownie which I know is good. I had 2 sorbets, raspberry and apple. The apple had skin bits in it so while it was tasty the skin was wierd.

Then I had 3 big slices of cake. Vanilla, spice, and chocolate. I wa sso excited. Until I tasted it. YUCK. It was still kind of frozen and the frosting fell right off. I tasted all 3 thinking it must get better than this. It didn't.

I had some of the chocolate cake and the sorbet and berries and brought the brownie home. The cookie was inedible. I wish they had given me some of the brownie from Crystal palace, those are amazing.

I didn't complain b/c really what else could they offer? It is fabulous they even have the dairy free options available. I appreciate they take allergies into consideration. I just wish they'd make it a tiny bit tastier or less frozen.

But again the location and view make it so worth it.

Thanks so much for the review and tips. I have often wondered how they handle dairy allergies, and it sounds like the options may have been GF too. (I'm both, so good to know). I really wanted to try it sometime, but wasn't comfortable with the lack of knowledge of options, so thanks very much for the review! Now if only we can get them to take those things out ahead of time that shouldn't be frozen and defrost them! (I encountered that in other areas too! Don't get me started on Cape May on my first visit where they knuked a FM brownie in its plastic wrapper...yikes!) :lmao:
