I am sure this has been asked before, but what is your daily checklist for the parks? Forgive me I am a newbie...but would love your input...putting together a packet with itinerary and checklists and wanted some advice...thank you!!

I have index cards with all my ADR numbers and park hours on it. I also put on it attractions I want to make sure to hit.

I create an entire itinerary for the day including ADRs and witch rides to get FP for and when to get them and even when to use. I have it from ride to ride what we are going to do in order to get the shortest lines. Of course this doesn't always work 100% as you plan.

Are you looking for like what stuff to bring in the park everyday? We have 2 kids so we will be bringing our stroller, extra clothes & shoes, snacks, drinks, tickets, cash, ADR info, sunblock, camera, sunglasses, hats, list of rides we want to do, etc... that's what I remember off the top of my head!

We bring:

iPhone
KTTW Card
Cash
Camera

Yes...I meant what you bring in your backpack, fannie pack, etc....what you need to get thru the day! Thanks everyone!!

This will depend on your group. I have 2 LOs so I bring a ton more into the parks now than I did when it was just me. There are minimalists and pack horses:).
I bring one backpack with the following for my whole family of 4:
extra outfit x 2 (for kids)
diapers
wipes
hand sanitizer
sunscreen
sunglasses x 4
snacks
water bottle x 2 ( we refill through the day)
emergency kit (bandaids, Tylenol, advil, neo to go, tide to go)
bib
lightweight blanket
click sharpies and something for autographs x 2
iPhone
bodyglide
stickers and other line/meal distractions
camera and extra battery
APs and KTTW if overnight trip
CC (Disney Visa only)
cash
Mickey and Minnie or Ariel dolls

we also have a stroller. We often will leave a portion of these items in the stroller in a small bag to lighten the backpack. DH and I trade off wearing the pack and I keep all of the $, passes, other cards in a pocket with FPs (I don't like lanyards). We don't pin trade and don't have the kids carry anything yet b/c of their young ages. That might change in the future.
Oh, and I do an itinerary in my phone so I don't bring any papers.

Travel pack of handwipes. These came in handy when my kids were eating their Mickey Ice-Cream bars.

I carry a small backpack with the following in it:
  1. Touring plan.
  2. ADR confirmation numbers.
  3. Park maps.
  4. Sunglasses.
  5. Camera.
  6. Cell phone.
  7. Current edition of Unofficial Guide to WDW.
  8. Swim gear (if going to a water park).
  9. Ponchos (if rain is in forecast).
The backpack has a handle on it--I take it on rides and everything. My DW wears a small sling purse, so I'm the one carrying the bulk of the things to be carried.

(1) Sunscreen
(2) Empty water bottles that you can refill at fountains -- save $$
(3) Written family instructions on where to meet if separated

I carry a back pack filled with:

  1. Extra clothes for my DD and extra socks for all if we are wearing sneakers but this year we are going with Croc's mostly.
  2. baby wipes
  3. baby powder
  4. band-aides
  5. camera
  6. money
  7. cell phone
  8. small toy to keep DD happy when waiting for ADR or long ride line
  9. ADR info on small cards
  10. rain poncho's
  11. snacks in small zip lock bags
  12. ZIP LOCK BAGS A MUST!!! Keep your important stuff DRY if it rains or on a wet ride like Spalsh Mountain
  13. GUM!!! I know Disney doesn't like this but I don't think it is an official rule to not have gum but it helps me if I get nauseous.
  14. don't forget your room key (did this a few times )
  15. Tylenol!!! A big must...last year forgot it and spent big $$$ to get a small packet at AK
  16. re-fillable mug...can't do the free re-fills at the park but if you get a drink at a restaurant and want to take it with you it helps to have a plastic mug with a lid....yeah, sounds cheap but spending $2 or more per drink gets old fast. We also do the free water re-fills...just about every station that sells soda will give you free water with ice if you ask....saved a lot doing this last year.
I think that is about it. Everyone is different and has different needs. I know if it were up to my husband he would just carry his money, cell and cigarettes:rotfl: But traveling with a little one you almost have to bring luggage! :lmao:

I packed pretty much everything the others have listed, plus sweatshirts for my DDs (we've been in Feb. and Dec., so a few chilly mornings and evenings).

When going through security one morning on our last trip, the CM said "you packed this didn't you?" I said yes. :confused3 "Yeah, I can always tell when a mom packs the bag..." I smiled, thinking he was complimenting my superb packing skills (let me tell you, that bag was FULL!), until he added "Moms always think they need to bring everything." My DH and DBro were :rotfl2::rotfl2:.

I'm trying to lighten the load on the next trip. ;)

Of course the age of your children would matter a lot in what you carry. :confused3 I would recommend carrying the minimum. My kids are older (10 &6). My small backpack held, autograph books/pens, gum, hand wipes, travel pain reliever, band aids, park map, and camara.:scared1: It would be big enough that i could carry a light jacket. Each day I would realize something I would need or something I could remove. If it looks like rain don't forget the ponchos. :sad2:

I discovered on Dis (from another thread) about Vapur water bottles. I am most definately buying these for our trip!

http://vapur.us/

How cool are those! Thanks for sharing.

We took pretty much the same list as everyone else. I would say regardless of what it looks like take your pancho...I didn't find they took up much more extra room (and I carried 2 adult/2 kids) and even when rain isn't in the forcast it doesn't mean it's not going to!!

ETA: If you take gallon sized zip locks you can get all 4 to fit in one and when you go to seal it sqeeze all the air out...nice and compact.

I'm also a big fan of packing in ziplocks to carry stuff in the back pack, keeps everything clean and dry, as well as together so you don't have to hunt for the sharpie and the autograph books if they are all in one ziplock!

I take a lot of the same things mentioned in my backpack. I have a small first aid kit that attaches to the outside of my back pack as well as a small bottle of hand sanitizer attached to the outside. I take ziploc bags for wet clothes, socks, etc after water rides. I take a few small snacks that we can't get in the park, crackers, fruit snacks, etc. I take Brita sports bottles to fill up with water along with flavor packets.

We (my DD18 and I) each carry very small bags cross-body bags. No more than 5" wide x 7" high x 2" deep. We pack them with the following:

- sunglasses (each)
- chapstick (each)
- small bottle of sunblock (me)
- camera (me)
- hair elastics/clips (each)
- small wallet (each)
- earplugs (me-I have very sensitive ears so I use them on almost every attraction)
- small folding hairbrush (me)
- small bottle of pain meds (me)
- hand sanitizer (DD)
- pre-cut moleskin (DD)
- caribiner clip (each)
- wet wipes (each-for post-Main St. sticky buns!)
- kleenex (me)
- allergy meds (me)
- iPod touch (each-great for passing time in line)
- ziploc bag (DD-comes in handy for camera/iPods in case of rain)
- ponchos (each)
- empty water bottle and crystal light/koolaid packs (DD)
- gum (each)

I put all my adr/park info into my iPod so I don't have to carry random sheets of paper.

Last but not least:
I always pin a safety pin to the inside of our bags..... you never know when you are going to have some kind of wardrobe malfunction!

It seems like a lot but we can get everything into the 2 very small bags we carry. If it doesn't fit, it doesn't go!
