Dad refuses to allow his daugher a Make a Wish trip?

So did she get the money from MAW for the trip or is she using the over 10K she has received in donations, or is she using the over 10K as a downpayment on a home in Orlando? I don't care what she got or how she's using it, but something smells funny. I just hope this little 4 year old gets her trip and has an amazing time at WDW.

I really don't know, I hope that the money for donations that they got will either go to her child whether it be for treatments (if she relapses, which I hope she does not), college funds or the WDW trip. I've heard maybe it will go to charity? but I don't know if I believe what the Mom says, something about her makes me feel off. The Dad firmly believes that she is trying to move to Orlando away from him so he cannot see his child. I don't blame him, he just started to get visitation (he says he has tried, but has been denied by the Mom, couldn't see his child in the hospital..etc)

I just want the girl to go to WDW, I am super suspicious of the circumstances of all this but I hope she gets to go and I hope that her FATHER gets to share the experience with her as well as her Mom. H

I think its sad when both parents cant share the magical experience with their daughter. And I am so grateful now that when my parents divorced they were civil, and eventually even friendly with each other, so we were never torn between them.

I hope the little girl gets her trip, with her father paying for it, or with the donation money. But i REALLY hope someone is monitoring the donations, and, that they arent used for a down payment on a house. That would be ... stinky.

From what I have seen in posts (they all have been going back and forth in comments for the public to see) they did get enough money plus some for McKenna to go on the trip. The mother has stated that the remaining money was given to charity (although no specific charity mentioned so I really hope she did).
This is definitely a case of the families not getting along and that is sad. Their family and friends were going back and forth commenting on the news channel's website and accusations one after another.
I think both sides are to blame and it's unfortunately.
My heart goes out to the little girl - she should be rejoicing at this time and instead there is so much controversy.
They both have other children and I can see each of them wanting the siblings to share the experience but you also have to wonder if she's even close to the father's children or even knows them.
I also wonder how often this goes on and doesn't make the news with so many families being divorced or children married out of wedlock. (Not trying to start a debate just commenting because I've seen how custody can be an issue and so I'm sure it boils down to all aspects)
