I know its early, but are there other solo's that are thinking about going to this and are looking for teammates? I always solo to WDW during this time, and would love to team up with fun-loving folks for this! :) Looks like only the person who signs up has to be a D23 member, but other teammates do not have to be D23 members. (I'm a D23 member, and I don't have a problem with being the Team Leader.)

Thanks so much!
Christine

"D23's Great Disney Scavenger Hunt at the Walt Disney World Resort will take place May 12 - 13, and Destination D: Walt Disney World Resort 40th Anniversary will take place May 14-15 at the Contemporary Resort."

From D23 Site (Rules from the DLR Event, thinking they will be about the same for WDW)
"Contestants may book for a team of two to four people. No solo teams permitted. The person who registers for the Hunt will be designated the Team Leader. Only the person who registers needs to be a D23 Member in order to utilize the D23 Member rate. You must secure your spot in advance to participate; if space remains, additional spots will be filled the morning of the event at a higher price. Park entry is not included with the price of the Scavenger Hunt and will be required if teams wish to answer questions inside Disneyland or Disney California Adventure. There are a limited number of team slots available. D23 Members will be required to provide their membership number when reserving tickets in order to secure the special D23 Member price. Registration packets may be picked up only with a valid photo ID. Team Leaders who do not bring their valid photo ID may not be admitted to the Hunt. Ticketed participants who do not attend the Hunt forfeit their place as well as all experiences, benefits, and gifts associated with the Hunt. All D23 Special Events are subject to change without notice. There are no cancelations or refunds; tickets are not transferable."

I'm seriously looking at this to go and yes, I would be solo too.

I still have to check schedules, pricing and hopefully, tickets will not be a horrendous experience.

I'm @MyMuse18 on twitter as well.

Awesome! Well, it seems like its going to be a really cool event! I've not started the planning process yet, schedule is clear though which is the first part! :)

This looks like it would be fun but the dates do not match up, it happens a few days before I arrive. Actually, one day, I am getting in on the 13th.

Was it on purpose that you quoted this information from the event held about a month ago in DLR?

ahoff - Rats! I hate when that happens!

skiingfast - It was just for some background info incase non-D23 members wanted to participate. I was thinking that the rules for the event in WDW would be the same.

Nice, I'll provide a link to some of the experiences Dissers had at the one in DLR. Really good insight of what the WDW one could be like.

First I want to mention it would be awesome if some people on here could form some teams.

These are a couple of link to reviews of the D23 scavenger hunt in DLR. Of course it also has some other information not pertaining to the event in it.

In DLR there was a D23 event call Destination D that the scavenger hunt was part of. I didn't take part in it. I just happened to be there on the same day.

Disunplugged review of the scavenger hunt only.

TR including the scavenger hunt, and some discussion about it.

I would love to get involved! I'm heading down especially for this (gotta love that AP). Also a D23 member was looking at going May 11-17 to give myself a day buffer before and then a few days to enjoy myself in the parks after!

I don't really use my twitter, but I'm on facebook.

skiingfast - Thanks so much for those links... looks like i need to start getting my studying on! :) Thats what I was hoping as well, groups of Diser teams getting together for this, and for alot of us solo's that go down, its a little tougher to be on a team so hopefully this will work out for everybody! :)

Hi Christine! Great name btw, thats mine too! and I'm also an AP Holder! :) I was planning the same game plan... I'm also on facebook as well.

Yall let me know if ya want to team up... looks like we can have 2-4 folks per team.

I'm alot on Twitter, but do visit my Facebook account.

I didn't make any set plans for Destination D (no flights or hotel yet), but I am a D23 member and AP holder! :goodvibes :woohoo:

I also wanted to add on a couple of more days, so I can enjoy the parks, but I haven't figured out exactly where those extra days would lie.

Does anyone know likely when tickets will go on sale for Destinaiton D in WDW? what was the lead time for DLR?

Another solo D23 member looking for a team to join. I live in Orlando and I looks like it will be lots of fun! :) PM me!
