D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event 8/9/24-8/11/24 **Tickets on sale 3/26** **Sold Out on 3/29**

I just got an email from D23 acknowledging the missing badges problem. (They're citing a "technical issue".) They say they're mailing them out this week - but if they don't arrive, go to Will Call at the Hilton Anaheim (Wed-Sun).

I'm almost surprised they're still trying to mail them out.

Do u think having a room at hilton anaheim with disneyland is worth it? I was looking at rooms and there are a lot of rooms available but are not d23 rates. I had westinnladt time and wasn't a fan but looking at their less rooms were available. So I'm wondering if I should switch back to westin.

Dear D23 Member,

We are reaching out to provide you with an update on the shipment of your badges for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. Due to a technical issue, not all of your badges shipped together in your initial order.

We have taken steps to immediately correct the issue and have shipped your missing badges. You should receive them this week. Please note that the shipment will be from ID&C (our badge fulfillment vendor).

If you do not receive your badges before the event, we ask that you please visit the will call desk at D23 Event Services located on the 2nd floor of the Hilton Anaheim in California Ballroom A & B. D23 Event Services will be open during the following times:

Wednesday, August 7: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Thursday, August 8: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday, August 9: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday, August 10: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Sunday, August 11: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

As a reminder, physical badges are needed for entry into the Anaheim Convention Center. Guests with a ticket that includes a reserved seat at the evening shows at the Honda Center will need their tickets (printed or digital with QR codes) to scan for entry. View how to print or download your tickets to the
Honda Center.

Taking a closer look at the layout and new things that pique my curiosity this year.

1. Inside Out 2 HQ - HUGE space and excited to see what this is.
2. AVA fest -- this was a very big hit at SDCC this year. Doubt the swing ride will be in there, but should be fun
3. Avatar getting the central spot - wondering if this is prelude for DCA announcement of its experience?
4. Fan lounge in front of spotlight stage -- LOVE it.

North 200: maybe a silent hit : Lots of activities up there it seems and being upstairs, much less foot traffic

Have we determined if you can only sign up for 1 queue at a time for a specific store? Can’t seem to get an answer.

Are they managing this from Florida where 4 am PST is 7 am EST?
I wouldn't think so... but for those who get up early, maybe you won't have a lot of competition? I know I need my sleep so I'm going to try for the 1 pm or just see what's left Sunday 🤷

I'm pretty good about getting back to sleep since my husband gets up before me every morning, or else I'd forego it as well!

Vq will be fierce from LE pin and doll collectors. Otherwise a lot of the shopping is meh.

Glendale has some nice stuff. Last expo twdc was mid.....felt almost like outlet shopping being upstairs

Yeah, I don't collect either of those big demand items. We do like to look at the Imagineering and Muppets merch but I don't think anyone's going crazy for that stuff, lol

I just came here ton check if that 4am time was for real. What... the... heck. That's just ridiculous. "Oh, 4am is much better than camping all night!" Yeah... uh... but so would 6 or 7am.

I guess if they're really expecting people to need to take hours through security and it opens at 9am, and they expect people to do it from their hotels before breakfast, then maybe it needs to be 6am, but still. 4am?

I'm also not encouraged by the fact that the show hours are at 9am, but they open the entry points at 5am. What exactly are people expected to do for four hours? Stand in a line outdoors waiting to go in the convention center? Since all the high-demand shopping will be VQ, what are people quueing for? Special shopping on the show floor with third parties like Lorcana or something? It's just silliness.

There are times when I wish the fan convention could be in one site / building / area and all the shopping could be in another with separate lines and security. Let all the eBay resellers go stand in line for 12 hours. Yeah, I'll shop a little but I'm mainly going for the panels and interactive experiences.

Also, I notice they were clear that all the Honda Center concession stands will be open. So I'm thinking instead of trying to squeeze in dinner and worry about getting there, I'll just plan to get there really early and enjoy the finest cuisine that a stadium concession stand can offer. LOL.

Still amazed they're doing nothing more for the suckers like me that paid obscene amounts for the 3-day floor seats. Where's my VIP lounge at the Honda Center with separate entrance and dedicated limo shuttles, darn it? ;)
