There's a "sample" seat out in front of Expedition Everest as well so that larger guests can see if they can fit on that ride. It doesn't mean there is a "problem". Not every thrill ride can accommodate every body type. Rides with restraint systems have to have an outer limit of what shape of body they can restrain. The cast members working FOP have gotten much better with experience in helping larger guests position themselves properly so that they have a better chance of getting the restraints to lock into place, but obviously not everyone will be able to fit.

But when you say that you're for "children of all ages and sizes"...it's a rub.
I'm all for some rides that are for some audiences...those types get bored immediately...
But they are rather cowardly on that in recent years...selling "I conquered the mine train" t shirts
