D23 Expo September 9-11, 2022 Superthread **Updates in Posts 2 & 3**

It does allow for ranking. Your 1st choice is your 1st rank etc.
Are you sure? When I got the email, there was no indication of ranking.

EDIT: The email isn't clear about it, but when I go back to modify, I do see a number next to each item in each category per day.

I'm perhaps confused.. I thought the selections allotted were for ALL days, and it seems to SAY that, but even when I pick two options over the weekend for Hall D23 it seems to let me pick more... is it two PER DAY?

does it show what times the talent pass and show floor experiences take place at? still waiting to get into the room.
Well, signings were usually done after the panel in the past, so you can guess at some of this - but it's totally a guess based on past experience and may not hold true for 2022.

Good times!

This is very confusing. The Hall D23 priority says selection priority applies to all days. But it lets me select more than two items total. And... I have a different #1 for each day. Why wouldn't it let me say "This is my overall #1"?

the order they are listed in which is the order you selected them off in is the order that you ranked them.

I found it says "rank" in step 5 of the instructions. So definitely ranking.

4/category/day. There are only 2 Hall D23/day though. There should be a date selection tab at the top.

It's per day. So you would have a #1 Hall D23/day and #1 non-Hall D23/day. It doesn't seem to prioritize between the panel types, I think.

It's here all week, well at least until Friday. No rush. It's random, not first come/first serve.
I T SENDS ME TO SHOWCLIX BUT THERE IS NO TAB TO GET TO RESERVATIONS, sorry the caps stuck! can you help me please?

Ugh. Just did my first pass at it and realized I scheduled three things in the same exact time slot. So ugh for the times not being shown and double-ugh for three of my top panels all being in the exact same time.

Luckily you can modify until Friday - but you have to decide what you want to modify. So the hard choices are already starting.

Yes, but the hard part is that none of it is a guarantee. So do I make sure none of my preferences conflict, to maximize chances of attending panels? Or do I book two or three at the same time, knowing that I might not get my first or second choice in that time slot, but I'll at least get one?

Then, there's my own meta-game, about wondering if their system takes into account choices across different days to try to ensure people get at least a few of their #1 choices? If so, if there's just one panel I really really want to be in (cough Marvel), then it would actually behoove me not to pick anything else in Hall D23 on a different day. But I'm not sure that's how their algorithm works. Yes, I'm overthinking it.

My mind is going where yours is…. Just wish we knew how the system works. I’ld be happy to make less choices if I knew it meant I had a better chance of getting at least a few of my #1 choices over the 3 days.

I was annoyed at how many good smaller panels are during the Hall D23 panels that I want to attend. I understand the need for having other panels during the big panels, but it looked like they were saving them for specifically during those times.

I believe that Stars Wars Celebration used a similar system and I know people that got none of their choices, so it's a distinct possibility. My only experience is with a much smaller pool of people and choices.

I'm not sure that the program is that equitable or sophisticated. I give Disney IT no credit.
