D23 2013 roll call!!!!!! Who's going?

I'm definitely going. Have seen the first two D23 Expo's and excited to see next year's.

Can't wait! Lucked out and got Sorcerer again :thumbsup2 and movin on up to the Hilton this year instead of staying at the Jolly Roger.;)

If I was to go i would be coming from Australia..... I it really as good as it sounds? And is it better for adults, or kids as well? Thanks! : )

I've been to the previous D23 Expo events and I'm starting to make plans for the expo in 2013.
Has anyone heard if they are having a trivia contest on Thursday again?
Any news on who will be featured in the movies presentation or the Disney Legends ceremony? (any guesses?)

Woo Hoo!! I'm getting excited!

Still undecided. Just not sure if I want to deal with all of the line nonsense and waiting hours on end again.

Still mulling it over,
Dreams

My answer to this would be that how good the Expo experience is for you (totally subjective) depends on how much research you do ahead and how realistic your expectations are. Expo can be a really fun weekend, but it also can be exhausting and stressful. There are many events happening at the same time, and you really should have a game plan. On the other hand, if you just want to experience Expo and don't have any "must do/see" events, then you could easily breeze through each day doing whatever catches your fancy. YMMV.
I found that the people who were the most upset/disenchanted were the same people who had really high expectations that weren't met. That said, could D23 have done a better job at the 2011 Expo? Yes, and Stephen Clark said those issues will be addressed this time around.
As for taking kids, that would totally depend on the kids. If your kids do well at all day convention style events, then they should be fine at Expo. We saw kids who were having a blast and other kids who were really unhappy. You might want to pick just one day (the Saturday?), then spend the other days in the parks. Just some thoughts... hope they help.

And, to answer the OP, we'll be there!

I'll be there again and I can't wait! Though I agree that the experience is what you make it, I am looking forward to seeing some of the issues from the last Expo addressed.

I'll be there 8/8 - 8/12 also! Went to the first two Expos, and plan to go to every one of them.

I agree with above responses - the Expo CAN be fun if you go in there with the proper expectations. It's definitely not everyone's cup of tea. But if all else fails, the park across the street never disappoints. ;)

We've been to the first two and are going again this year. We've been going to Comic Con for 20+ years so the crowds are nothing new. Hopefully they will be taking some extra crowd control measures this year to help with organization. i think they have a lot to improve on from last year :)
