If I was to go i would be coming from Australia..... I it really as good as it sounds? And is it better for adults, or kids as well? Thanks! : )
My answer to this would be that how good the Expo experience is for you (totally subjective) depends on how much research you do ahead and how realistic your expectations are. Expo can be a really fun weekend, but it also can be exhausting and stressful. There are many events happening at the same time, and you really should have a game plan. On the other hand, if you just want to experience Expo and don't have any "must do/see" events, then you could easily breeze through each day doing whatever catches your fancy. YMMV.
I found that the people who were the most upset/disenchanted were the same people who had really high expectations that weren't met. That said, could
D23 have done a better job at the 2011 Expo? Yes, and Stephen Clark said those issues will be addressed this time around.
As for taking kids, that would totally depend on the kids. If your kids do well at all day convention style events, then they should be fine at Expo. We saw kids who were having a blast and other kids who were really unhappy. You might want to pick just one day (the Saturday?), then spend the other days in the parks. Just some thoughts... hope they help.
And, to answer the OP, we'll be there!
