Just say this outloud..... 'that's nice!'

Hi Guys...

I only have a few precious seconds to post- (the lonely DH calls), but suffice it to say, I simply LOVE my hair!!!! LOVE IT, I tell you!!

Today, was the day for running errands, getting my son to the dentist- who has a cyst!, and going through the things that were left to me by my grandparents. Also, I have some really cool beans news, involving a pop up trailer. But that's getting ahead of myself, to quote my dear friend GB.

Tomorrow, we are headed to Nashville for the BBQfest, and then out for our free dinner that we won for registering early for that 5K. I am praying that in all this hubbub, I don't forget to pack everything, Mickey Mail and all that.

Lovely that you all are having so much fun here!! But gosh darnit, I miss being part of the chatter!

We miss you being apart of the chatter!! It's not the same without you Liesa, but we will push through and hold the fort for ya! :goodvibes I hope your having a good time in the midst of all the craziness. :)

Just say this outloud..... 'that's nice!'

By the way....how did you come up with this name for the DIS?

By the way....how did you come up with this name for the DIS?

Well... here is the story. Back in the day(and sometimes still to this day) when my DW talks to her friends on the phone or in person she says 'that's nice'. Now 'that's nice' can be a response to so many things like:
1) A boogie just fell out of my nose.... that's nice (sarcastic)
2) We found a fly in the salad... that's nice (disgusted)
3) We found a diamond earring... that's nice (happy)

So basically 'that's nice' was/is a response to any type of statement.

DW (and her friends) have been saying that for years. So I told her once I got a big boat I was going to name it that's nice. So it can be used in the context DW uses it, and when someone reads the name they will say that my boat is nice.

In conclusion, I used 'that's nice' to sign up for the DIS and now I will forever be know as that's nice. I will try to use it more so you can see how it 'works'!!!! :lmao::lmao:

GLAD YOU ASKED? :confused3:confused3

Uuuuuh....yeah! Sure! :rotfl: Just kidding.
I guess "that's nice" is better than the Church Lady's...."Welllllll, Isn't that speeecial!" :rotfl:

Tim....just a quick question. I saw that you've ended your TR and I had a question about CSR vs. CBR. We've done CSR this last trip and loved it!
I've been thinking about possibly doing CBR at some point but kinda afraid of doing it due to hearing that it's resort is really spread out. Is it any more spread out than say POP or CSR? Also I don't know if I can do smaller beds after having such great queen sized beds at CSR this last time. I think I'm done for and won't want to go any where else.
It's all Kat's fault, she's the one who convinced me to stay there. :goodvibes She has a way of doing that you know. :upsidedow

So Kat convinced you to stay at CSR too???? :confused3 :rotfl::rotfl:
She was one of the first people I 'talked' to when I signed up for the DIS. :)

To put it bluntly, CBR is spread out. I'm not going to link the map because it is huge but you can check it out here. http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/cbrmap.htm

We were in Trinadad South building #37 in a pirate room. It was a solid 15-20 minute walk to Old Port Royale (where the pool & food is) We loved the kids pool area, which has a pirate ship play area.

The beds in the pirate room weren't that great. But the pirate room itself was really cool! I guess you could try to put in a request for a certain section and hope you get it. The queen beds at CSR are great though huh? When we stayed there we had a king bed because Juliana was still sleeping in her pack-n-play.

We liked CBR but I liked CSR better. I would stay at CBR again though. ::yes:: :goodvibes

Tim, I always wondered where your DIS name came from. Now I know!

On the CSR front, I'm curious, I've heard people say negative things because it's a convention resort...have you noticed any difference?

When we were there in 3/09 we saw a few people in business attire walking around but that didn't bother me at all. I think there were less people on the busses and at the pool due to whatever meeting was going on at the time.

I loved the layout of CBR and loved how the resort looked. As Kathy (katmark) if you have any questions.... she is the Queen of CSR!!!!! :goodvibes

You know what the kicker is? The current promo for free dining, for my dates, neither CSR nor CBR is available. They're available other dates, but not the ones I'm going, and I've tried playing around a bit to see if it changes, but no dice. I'm thinking of calling to see, but I'm wondering if they've blacked those resorts out? :confused3

They will often block rooms for a convention up to a certain date. If you go to the "unofficial" CSR thread which is linked in my signature, there is a list of convention dates on the first or second page. Now, that list not be "complete" as we got those dates from research and people emailing us the information. It never hurts to call.

I couldn't resist

As for CSR, KatMark is the expert but I have stayed both as a convention"ear" and as a regular guest. Casitas and Cabanas ( have not been brave enough to try Ranchos yet) are not that far. It is spread out and you will walk. It is a beautiful walk but you may never make it to El Centro after check in if you don't realy need to. If you have a car either drive to the parks or I have seen people drive over to the bus stops, if needed. I love the queen beds and I do think based on what convention is there, the crowd impact can be minimal.

Liesa, would love to see the red if you get a moment.

That stinks. When are you thinking of going? Are you taking Squirt with you? You can always save a few bucks and go VALUE!

EDIT:: I didn't even see your ticker. DUH! So it looks like you are going in February. :)

There is one bad side of a convention resort... if a meeting gets out or breaks for lunch and you are in the resort, you might have to wait in a long line to get food. But what would you be doing in the resort anyways... you should be in the PARK! ;)

I knew it wouldn't take long for you to sense someone was talking about CSR! :lmao::lmao:

You should of heard Melody this morning. She wants to go back for the MNSSHP! LOL I told her 9/19-9/24! LETS DO IT!:rotfl::rotfl:

Well, That's Nice!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:
I couldn't resist

Nice one! :thumbsup2
:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Guilty as charged. But aren't you glad you tried it and ended up loving it? We've not stayed at CBR as I'm sure you know (with no little kids the rooms don't appeal to us and we go to the beach every trip). However, our oldest son stayed there July of 2009 with the 13-year old baseball team he coaches. While he said he MISSED the CSR, they had a very nice stay. His really only complaint is that with twelve 13-year olds, they spent a lot of time at the water park because the pool was always crowded at CBR and they felt it was geared more towards younger kids (oh, and they were in the Barbados section and had a quiet pool right outside their door).

I hear "CSR" in my sleep.

Just tell us what time you'll be there, and we'll meet you...but we are going on the 18th (Saturday night).

And back to your post on your TR, you don't want to do All Stars (that is where all the Pop Warner people will be!).

:guilty: When your right your right.

Of course she is !!!!!

Amen sista! Wine always tastes better than beer. But I do have to admit a good cold beer (preferably a Shiner Bach) that's been sittin in the back of the fridge (where it's nice and really cold) hits the spot on a hot summer day once in a blue moon.
You and Tammie and I will have to share a bottle at Peeps Fest! :goodvibes

:rotfl:

Rosie, your too much!

Oooo! Even better! :thumbsup2

 Marv!

I,m ready to leave for DC(that's nice:yay:)

To conclude everything about this weekend is looking NICE!!!!!!:banana::banana:

I hear "CSR" in my sleep.
I don't doubt this for a minute! :rotfl2:

Just tell us what time you'll be there, and we'll meet you...but we are going on the 18th (Saturday night).
As much as I want to go when I told her it would probably cost us $2000 (total) she wasn't feeling it. Not to mention she would have to give all her days away at work since she has no vacation time left. This just goes to show, she is just as big as a Disney nut as the rest of us. She just doesn't show it on these boards! :lmao:

And back to your post on your TR, you don't want to do All Stars (that is where all the Pop Warner people will be!).
OK GOOD TO KNOW!!!!!!! That would be a nightmare I'm sure. :scared1::scared1:

But I can tell her we are staying at All-Stars. ;)

Always good to get Tim !!!!!:rotfl2:
You too Rosie? I thought it was just Kathy & Liesa's job to pick on me! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Now I need to get some audio so you can hear how to say it the right way. :rotfl::rotfl:

Good to know, thanks! I actually played around with the dates, and it looks as though CSR and CBR are just all booked up. I even tried a ressie without free dining to see, and still no dice. I'm thinking they're just full. :thumbsup2

That stinks. When are you thinking of going? Are you taking Squirt with you? You can always save a few bucks and go VALUE!

:scared1:

J/K. No value for me this time. The only one I prefer to stay in is Pop, and that was my last big family trip resort, so I don't see us heading back there any time soon. Too many memories.

And, quite frankly, too small for my family, I think.

EDIT:: I didn't even see your ticker. DUH! So it looks like you are going in February. :)

My friend, Tinkerbellarella, is running the Princess 1/2 marathon in honor of my mom, and when she finishes, she's going to make a donation to the American Heart Association. I really want to see her cross that finish line. She's my dearest friend and I'm honored that she's doing something for herself and honoring my mother at the same time.
