Trip News!

As you guys know...the first few days of the trip (Thurs, Fri, Sat) are "solo" for Liesa and I. We are sorta planning on seeing each other if we see each other, if that makes sense.

She is doing Fantasmic that first night and I am meeting Baker's family.

But before that......I have something awesome that I get to go do!!!!

I am not sure how many of you guys remember Noah - the little boy who died last July - this is his icon - - anyway...his Mom emailed me this morning and invited me to go to GKTW with them on Thursday evening. They celebrate Christmas every Thursday night at GKTW - so I am going to go have Christmas dinner with them! I am so excited! They are such an awesome family.

So...my current plan is to get the rental car (I was able to get one at Budget for the 11 days for a total of $225 - including all of those crazy fees that they charge for being in FL AND I get 2.5 Southwest credits, too), then go to the grocery store (getting food for all three of us and maybe Baker's family), then check into the POP (unload groceries) and then go to GKTW for a little while.

So...my plans are starting to come together!

We will meet on Wednesday, at 3:40 pm, that's 9:40 am Eastern Time. I think I might be able to post a short note from my phone before we explore the cellars of Nuremberg. Otherwise expect something later that day!!

Here is the question...and we can see who gets the closest to reality...


How many NAMED storms will there be between NOW and the time that we are all back at home on Sept 13th. That is almost a months worth of time in the peak of hurricane season. This includes anything named today through Sept 13th.

They don't have to be "hurricanes" - just named as a tropical storm - and they certainly don't have to hit land - I love a good fish storm!


My personal prediction is that we will see Danielle, Earl and Fiona named. Will we possibly see Gaston, Hermine, Igor or Julia? Surely not Karl or Lisa?

What do you guys think? I will post our guesses here....

It has been a fairly quiet year so far so I can imagine that the storms will be picking up soon. I am going to guess Gaston. And I am hoping not one of those storms hits anywhere the US mainland.


BTW.... You love a good FISH storm Mary? I can see all the fish holding their umbrellas and swimming for cover!!!!

I am thinking Liesa, Lisa (Lauren's Mom) and Lisa (Lauren's full time assistant at school) would all be freaked if a storm bearing their name did any damage anywhere. Of course, Liesa would say it isn't HER...because she has an e... lol


Oh yeah...FISH storms are awesome! They are beautiful and way out to sea. I think the fish probably get a little SEA sick. But other than that...no one is harmed...those are the BEST storms!
