D-Day Invasion- "Strange"-ly Imminent!! TRIP REPORT IS UP!!

I love Deadliest Catch and most of the cooking shows as well. :thumbsup2

One show that I really love is The Good Wife. It's very good and I find myself missing that show the most this summer.

I'm still playing! Although that last one, I'll admit, was a toughie.

Here's my answer for Q#8:

HDDR

Holy camole! That's a ton of flying. You better take good care of yourself Liesa. Between running a 5K along with the rest of the stuff you plan to do PLUS the time change, you're going to be dead before you even start your Disney trip! Take care of yourself and listen to your body.

You may be right. I may send my DH out with Andrew to shop, but know it'd be a disaster of magnanimous proportions. I just don't see what can go.... I really want to do the 5K- and I can't get out of the houseboat.

I would be prepared to be flexible. I worry about that 5K with jet lag and how rested, or not, you will be going into it. I have no concerns about your ability to do it however the wisdom of its timing with everything else leading up to, and after it, concerns me.

hmm....

On one hand I would say the actual 5K is really not going to be a huge thing? Because it is basically running 3 miles...but the hype and adrenaline leading up to it and the time it will take overall maybe be too much?

And I know you don't want to be too tired or too busy to hang with Andrew and to do the "college Mom" thing...

So...I don't know what to tell you. Except those are my thoughts?? :upsidedow

You haven't called yet???? I thought they sent it out a month ahead??

Nope! I forgot. He he. And we just got our airline about 2 weeks ago -then we had visitors, busy...

They do send them out about a month ahead, but will send them closer to your date too. I think about of our past trips I've only called more than 1 month in advance twice!

I think Mr Tator could do this one

100_0298.jpg

HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And that poor innocent child, scared for life. ;)

I didn't know there was a tour !!! But couldn't you ask the Tour Guide to pose with Potato Head :lmao::lmao::lmao:

That would be AWESOME. But oh man...I wouldn't have the guts to ask someone else to pose like that unless I knew them!!! Oh too funny.

What non-park event is the Battalion going to that does involve food??

Brain must be asleep. I gotta do some research on that one. Will report back.

OK, here they are:

Our city to the Big city

Big City to Frankfurt

Frankfurt to Dulles

Dulles to Nashville

Nashville to DC

DC to Orlando

You belong to the necessary airline clubs, right? Miles baby, miles!

It truly is! I just hope I'm not completely exhausted by the time I get to Disney! With so much travel, jet lag, the excitement of a Meet, running a 5K, and everything else, it's a real possibility.

If you cannot make the F! meet, NO WORRIES. I will totally understand! Or if you do make it and are all fuzzed out, no worries again. :goodvibes

Okay, here is my answer...I hope this is right!

Hoop De Doo Revue. It's not in a park, so I'm thinking this must be it! That's the only thing I could find that involved food, was an "event" (versus a regular eating establishment) that ALL THREE of you were doing... I hope I got it right...I'm too stinkin' competitive and too much of a perfectionist! I want that POINT!

Hi Liesa! I am back from a few wonderful days in London and Dorset and just had to see how many questions I missed... too many it appears! :confused3:goodvibes

But here is my spontaneous answer to question 8: Hoop De Do Review

And now it is time to go to bed for me... See you tomorrow morning!! :goodvibes

Mixing cake icing, crumbled brownies and vanilla pudding, then having one person drop it off the monorail platform as folks walk by, while the rest of the of the Battalion points up and yells "Whoa! That bird was HUGE!"

:lmao: I'd love to see THAT!

I guess: Hoop de do revue or I could be thinking about someone else, but I could've sworn you talked about that.

I had to go so many pages back just to find the question. LOL

I didn't get to do your :cool1::banana::banana::banana::yay::dance3::cheer2: for being 30 days away. woo hoo.

And I think I missed whatever all this tater talk is. but it sure does sound funny. I love the ideas, the EE with broken tracks sounds like fun.

Are you all packed and ready to go?

:rotfl2: I'm guessing you have done this before....! Perhaps more than once!

Mixing cake icing, crumbled brownies and vanilla pudding, then having one person drop it off the monorail platform as folks walk by, while the rest of the of the Battalion points up and yells "Whoa! That bird was HUGE!"

LOL Then they could really push the envelope and one of them can taste it! :crazy2:

Sorry, but I just had to go there! :lmao:

They get ratings and Reality TV costs a fraction of the cost to produce than a sitcom or a drama. I dislike most reality TV shows but I do watch 'Deadliest Catch' and I'm sure a few others as well.

Good point, tim. But not a clue what you're talking about. I'll have to imdb the 'Deadliest Catch'. :confused3

I love Deadliest Catch and most of the cooking shows as well. :thumbsup2

One show that I really love is The Good Wife. It's very good and I find myself missing that show the most this summer.

I've never watched a cooking show either. Yes, I know, I live on Mars. Oh wait, that's where men are from. I mean I live on Venus. Yeah, that's right Venus.

I'm still playing! Although that last one, I'll admit, was a toughie.

Here's my answer for Q#8:

I need to throw on a toughie now and then. Good for the mental workout.

Well, the good news is we have some fun and rest in between some of those flights. We spend a day and a half with some friends in the Big City, 2 days with Magdelene and Katharina, and I get 4 days in DC with Ball of Wax. So, it is broken up some.

Good advice! If I do start to feel run down, I can always just slow down or start to cut stuff out. Funny, but the hardest thing I know I have to do on that list of stuff, is BUY SHOES!! I HATE SHOPPING FOR SHOES!!

I would be prepared to be flexible. I worry about that 5K with jet lag and how rested, or not, you will be going into it. I have no concerns about your ability to do it however the wisdom of its timing with everything else leading up to, and after it, concerns me.

Flexible is another GREAT piece of advice.

Jet lag shouldn't be a problem. Last time we went "home" we were ALL up at 3:30 unpacking bags because we couldn't sleep. But then we had to go to bed at 3:00 in the afternoon too. The race is on the morning- so I'll be wide awake no problem. Heck I could even go out for breakfast and be fine. :lmao:

hmm....

You're right too. I do want (and need) to be there for Andrew. He got his room assignment yesterday- 18th floor / rm. 14. He's already found his roomie on FB and they are starting to get to know one another. Fun stuff. I hope.

Anyway, I'll just play it by ear, and if I start to get those "slow DOWN!" signals from my body, I will! I promise.

Nope! I forgot. He he. And we just got our airline about 2 weeks ago -then we had visitors, busy...

Gotcha. I didn't know if there was a deadline or something you had to make for registering. I really have never researched how it works other than what I read on TRs- except for memorizing WHERE to go at the airport.

That would be AWESOME. But oh man...I wouldn't have the guts to ask someone else to pose like that unless I knew them!!! Oh too funny.

I don't think I'd ask anyone I didn't know to pose like this, but I think I can get a CM from every country to hold Tate for a picture, and see if they can recommend a good Prop for him to hold. ;)

Brain must be asleep. I gotta do some research on that one. Will report back.

OK, I'm waiting.

You belong to the necessary airline clubs, right? Miles baby, miles!

Yes, the Star Alliance knows us by name. But we still shop for the lowest price. I've read over and over, that most of the time, those "free" miles really aren't and that often a better deal can be found by shopping. :confused3

If you cannot make the F! meet, NO WORRIES. I will totally understand! Or if you do make it and are all fuzzed out, no worries again. :goodvibes

I like our plan- you go with how you feel and I'll go with mine too- I have a feeling it's MORE than likely to happen, but I like the freedom to bag it if either of us is getting tired- and esp. Henry!

Okay, here is my answer...I hope this is right!

You nailed it.

Hi Liesa! I am back from a few wonderful days in London and Dorset and just had to see how many questions I missed... too many it appears! :confused3:goodvibes

:welcome: home!!!!! You've been missed!

I am excited to hear your stories and of course! see your pictures!!

I think you only missed 2? I'd have to go check my tally sheet. Sleep well, and I'll "see" you in a while. :goodvibes

Mixing cake icing, crumbled brownies and vanilla pudding, then having one person drop it off the monorail platform as folks walk by, while the rest of the of the Battalion points up and yells "Whoa! That bird was HUGE!"

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Ok, sadly, our family would do this. That says it all. :rotfl2:

:lmao: I'd love to see THAT!

Me too!

:lmao:

My 16yos would be all over that fun! :rotfl2:

GB never lets us down!!

My son would be too, Denise. Unfortunately, so would my girls. :rolleyes1

I guess:

Are you all packed and ready to go?

YOu got it!

Now we're only 29 days away! Less than ONE MONTH!!

Mr(s). Tate is about to have the trip of a lifetime!! ;)

Yes, we are mostly packed. Living out of boxes where are clothes are. Everyday, we sell about one piece of furniture, and the smaller stuff that isn't selling we'll start giving away starting Monday of next week. All the clothes will go to some friends who do village evang. work, the piano will go to a church, you know stuff like that. I wish there was Goodwill to take it all to, but there isn't.

:rotfl2: I'm guessing you have done this before....! Perhaps more than once!

It wouldn't surprise me one bit, Brook. I'm sure he's done this and other, even more hilarious, stuff.

LOL Then they could really push the envelope and one of them can taste it! :crazy2:

Sorry, but I just had to go there! :lmao:

:lmao::lmao::lmao: Or count how many step in it.

Wow, less than 1 month left!!! :cool1:

Looks like I missed a few questions.... I don't really have a good excuse other than DIS being banned at work and being too tired to go online most nights.

As for the latest question (not sure what # we're on), I think the answer is: HDDR - and possibly some Sangria!

I think that possibility is QUITE high!! :lmao:

I know, it stinks you can't be here more with us!! Tell work you have VERY important business on here- maybe they'll relax the rules. :confused3;)
