They get ratings and Reality TV costs a fraction of the cost to produce than a sitcom or a drama. I dislike most reality TV shows but I do watch 'Deadliest Catch' and I'm sure a few others as well.
Good point, tim. But not a clue what you're talking about. I'll have to imdb the 'Deadliest Catch'.
I love Deadliest Catch and most of the cooking shows as well.
One show that I really love is The Good Wife. It's very good and I find myself missing that show the most this summer.
I've never watched a cooking show either. Yes, I know, I live on Mars. Oh wait, that's where men are from. I mean I live on Venus. Yeah, that's right Venus.
I'm still playing! Although that last one, I'll admit, was a toughie.
Here's my answer for Q#8:
Holy camole! That's a ton of flying. You better take good care of yourself Liesa. Between running a 5K along with the rest of the stuff you plan to do PLUS the time change, you're going to be dead before you even start your Disney trip! Take care of yourself and listen to your body.
I need to throw on a toughie now and then. Good for the mental workout.
Well, the good news is we have some fun and rest in between some of those flights. We spend a day and a half with some friends in the Big City, 2 days with Magdelene and Katharina, and I get 4 days in DC with Ball of Wax. So, it is broken up some.
Good advice! If I do start to feel run down, I can always just slow down or start to cut stuff out. Funny, but the hardest thing I know I have to do on that list of stuff, is BUY SHOES!! I HATE SHOPPING FOR SHOES!!
I would be prepared to be flexible. I worry about that 5K with jet lag and how rested, or not, you will be going into it. I have no concerns about your ability to do it however the wisdom of its timing with everything else leading up to, and after it, concerns me.
Flexible is another GREAT piece of advice.
Jet lag shouldn't be a problem. Last time we went "home" we were ALL up at 3:30 unpacking bags because we couldn't sleep. But then we had to go to bed at 3:00 in the afternoon too. The race is on the morning- so I'll be wide awake no problem. Heck I could even go out for breakfast and be fine.
hmm....
On one hand I would say the actual 5K is really not going to be a huge thing? Because it is basically running 3 miles...but the hype and adrenaline leading up to it and the time it will take overall maybe be too much?
And I know you don't want to be too tired or too busy to hang with Andrew and to do the "college Mom" thing...
So...I don't know what to tell you. Except those are my thoughts??
You're right too. I do want (and need) to be there for Andrew. He got his room assignment yesterday- 18th floor / rm. 14. He's already found his roomie on FB and they are starting to get to know one another. Fun stuff. I hope.
Anyway, I'll just play it by ear, and if I start to get those "slow DOWN!" signals from my body, I will! I promise.
