Good Morning!!
We just got back from another wonderful stay at Cypress Pointe and it was just as good as when we stayed there two years ago. :thumbsup2 Very clean, friendly staff, good pool area. Only down side was that the pizza take out was under rehab in Phase I and had to go to Phase II, but if that was the only con then we cannot complain!!!

If any one has any questions feel free to ask!!

Remember to bring your hairdryer!!!

Heidi

Thanks for the update! We also haven't been there in a few years but are considering it to add on to our dates in November.

we are going there during our next vacation in october. Its nice to hear some positive comments about the place.

I am glad you had a good stay Heidi.

1. We have a 11 & 13 yr old boys. Do you think they would fit comfortably in the second bedroom of a 2 bedroom?
2. How close is it to WDW?
3. Do they have comfy beds and pillows?

Thank you:)

Mick, I'm not Heidi, but I can answer a little bit for you. Are you in CPR or CPGV? If it's the GV, you'll have plenty of room. I haven't stayed at the CPR, but I know it has a trundle bed and is smaller than the 2nd BR at GV.

The complex is about a mile from the entrance to Downtown Disney - very close to LOTS of restaurants and shopping (two outlet malls).

We were very comfortable, but I've heard some who didn't like the pillows. It may depend on the unit you have (we had three of the 2BR units and all were good).

I have a few questions. We are checking in on Saturday, May 12 for a week stay in the one bedroom studio. Are there any laundry facilities? What things should I bring from home? I am renting from an owner and she has sent me a conformation with her name on it and she says she is going to write a letter stating that we are staying instead of her. Is this how it goes? I just bring that info and check in like a hotel? She says I must put down a $50.00 deposit on my cc also. Can I express check out or do I need to take keys back to the check-in lobby? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks for any help!

Thank you for your reply HorseShoeMom.
We do havr a reservation at either place yet. We have been looking a both places through RCI. The only thing is the villas are a silver crown and the resort is a gold crown. The villas sound good though.:)

I haven't stayed at CPR, so you'll have to take what I say with a grain of salt, but if (when ;) ) I book again, it will be at CPGV. The GV units are larger, and the buildings have elevators. I particularly liked how the GV buildings surround the pools, playground, activities building, etc. If you want to go over to the volcano pool, it's about a 5 minute walk.

CPR has been upgraded recently (which is the difference in the silver and gold), but we didn't see anything that needed updated in our 3 units. Of course, somebody else's unit could be different.

We requested bottom floor and got it with all 3 units. I would also ask for units facing the pool. I didn't ask, but 2 of our 3 were. The other faced the parking lot.

1) Laundry facilities - I don't think the studio units have a washer/dryer, but I haven't stayed in one, so I don't know. There may be a laundry room onsite, but I didn't notice it.

2) Letter - We reserved three of the 2BR units - one for us and two for friends (one for them and one for her dad). Our friends had a change of plans and didn't go. Our units were non-refundable, because we got them through ebay for $300 a week. She gave us both of hers.

I called CP, and they told me I had to have a notarized letter and a copy of friend's drivers license (my friend was able to notarize the letter herself which made it easy for us). They might have taken a letter that wasn't notarized, but I had what they asked for.

When i checked in and explained that I would be checking into all 3 units, they did ask for the letter but didn't say anything about the copy of the DL (so I didn't give it to them).

3) $50 charge - We had to do this on each of the 3 units we checked into.

4) Express check-out - I don't know. We carried the keys back, but it only took a couple of minutes (faster check-out than check-in).

horseshowmom- Wow! Thanks for the quick response. She didn't say anything about the letter being notarized? I guess I will speak to her about this. Thanks again!
