Well, we're back
. Had a great time though. I've been answering resort questions all over so I thought I would just make one review here.
We had a 2 bedroom, rented through Hotelkingdom for 70.00 a night for 10 nights. There was me, DH and DS15 this trip as DD is in Nova Scotia right now.
Check-in was super fast. We asked for 3rd floor and renovated and got both. My first reaction when we walked in was Wow! My DH asked "You got this place for 70.00 a night??" lol.
The kitchen area was everything you need, pots, pans (although we dont cook), toaster, coffee maker, blender, dishwasher, all utensils, etc. There is a welcome pack with Tide, dishwasher soap. trash bags, coffee, etc...all were replenished twice in our stay. There is no downy or bounce.
The place was very clean and nicely laid out. The table was all set, the towels in pretty designs, etc. Nice size living room with a large TV and lots of additional drawer space.
The master bedroom had a king bed, closet, whirlpool tub (very nice), the open toilet everyone has heard about, large vanity and a large shower. This set-up really didn't bother us. We used the 2nd toilet mostly and it was nice to shower in the mornings without waking our DS. The bedroom door locks so no biggie there. There is a nightlight you can turn on if you "need to go" in the middle of the night, lol...it never woke DH up. Patio doors led to the balcony and there were also patio doors in the livingroom. It was very nice.
The second bedroom was small but had a closet, chair, small TV, and a trundle bed. There were extra pillows and blankets in both closets.
The 2nd bathroom had a tub and shower. They supplied soaps and shampoos but we always bring our own. There is also a quiet washer and dryer, I would suggest smaller loads as the dryer takes awhile but it was great to have.
The screened in balcony had a table with 4 chairs and a ceiling fan/light.
The resort itself is not huge. The pools were nice, abit smaller than I imagined but more than adequate for the size of the resort. Lots of lounge chairs. They have a small store which has abit of everything and also a take out where you can get pizza, burgers, wings, subs, etc...they also deliver free. There was a nice games room with pool tables, air hockey, video games, DVD rentals, etc. DS made some friends and they hung out in the pool and in the games room, he had alot of fun.
CPGV's are right there so you can use there pools as well.
Its very convenient to everything. Theres a Winn-Dixie right there so if you plan on shopping there, grab a Winn-dixie card from the check-out person, they only need name, address and phone number and you get a card immediately...saves a few bucks.
They changed our towels and sheets twice and cleaned the whole place once during our stay ( no charge). Check out was fast. In the lobby, there is someone who will supply you with maps, coupons, etc...she will also ask you if you want to go on their tour. we said no and that was the end of that.
We wouldn't hesitiate to go back. The most important thing I can say is this is not a huge 5 star resort. Its a smaller 3+-4 star timeshare. The rooms were 4 and the resort itself probably 3+. There are some activities, you will get a list of times but we didn't try them. We tend to "park" all day, go for supper and get back to the resort in the evening and veg.
We all enjoyed CP, I have no complaints whatsoever and will go back again.
Hope this helps
