Anyone recently stay at Cypress Pointe...not Grand Villas...I have a 3 bedroom booked for April and am reading mixed reviews. Wondering if I should try to switch for the Grand Villas. Is Cypress Pointe really getting that worn? Anyone with recent info I would love to hear from you...thanks...Ann:confused:

stayed at cypress pointe grand villas over christmas/new years. stayed in a 3 bedroom, units were worn, along with furniture, only stayed there because of the great deal i got and it is in a great location to disney. i would rate the complex as a c minus. if you have a good deal on the 3 br unit, go ahead and stay at cypress pointe and try and move over to the grand villas, but again don't expect to much. they are much better timeshare resorts than cypress pointe.

Stayed at CP (NOT GV) over MLK weekend. They were still doing their refurbishment project (the building next to us was being refurbished). Do you have any specific questions? Unit we were in was worn but no where near as much as other properties or hotels I have stayed in (including some All Stars rooms). And I thuink they are almost completely done their remodel. Maybe you can request a refurbished room with your reservation if you are concerned. Also--I emailed them from their website and a very helpful man named Victor called me and all of my requests were taken care of.....groun floor/easy access room, close to handicapped parking and in a quiet location.

I've seen a great rate on these too through hotelkingdom.com I have to book any day now as our trip is quickly approaching. I have been leary but the rate with the amenities looks great. How is the cleanliness and comfort?? Also, the pool area??

My sentiments exactly. I've stayed at Celebration, Silver Lakes, Vistana Villages, Vistana Resort and Westage Vacation Villas. Cypress Pointe Grand Villas is a pale imitation of these. It was well appointed, the master bath was very nice, but the room was generally filthy. My toddlers looked like they had crawled through charcoal after playing on the floor. REALLY filthy. And it is the only place I've ever stayed that I had to kill my own palmetto bugs. If you have other options at a reasonable price, it will be more worth it.
