We were there a week in early June. We prefer onsite at WDW but this came up as an opportunity we couldnt turn down.
It was clean and comfortable. We were in a 1 bedroom with 2 adults/2 teens. Only downside to this was bathroom didnt have door. There was a door to the toilet area. But we knew this going in, so we carried tape. We taped a sheet over the walk thru area and over the see thru area around the tub.
We only heard a few bumps from neighbors next door. Otherwise, its very quiet.
There are several restaurants nearby. Also a drug store and a grocery store. This was nice. We went to grocery store several times.

I would recommend staying here.

Nice review. Our daughter stayed here for a couple of nights last week before checking into DVC and she enjoyed her stay very much. She said the resort is very pretty and she liked the general store/gift shop - she said they sold ice cream and had food and were open with very convenient hours.

She said the resort even got them settled in early before 4:00, which is always nice if they are able to do it.

Thank you for posting your review.

What site did you book your room through?

We have stayed at the Cypress Pointe Grand Villas our last two visits and are staying there again in June '08. We absolutely love this place! It's perfect for us (2 adults, 2 girls ages 15 and 12). We love the fact that we can come back to the room aftera long day at the parks and have space to spread out. We get the 2 bedroom/2 bath w/full kitchen/den, etc. We won't stay anywhere else. Also love the location:thumbsup2 We reserve from www.hotelkingdom.com.

What is the drive like to WDW parks:confused: Do they have planned activities, what is pool area like:confused: Any info would be great, thinking of booking this for 2008.

Thanks

We have been looking at this resort as well. I am concerned re the comment about no door to the bathroom. Does this mean the shower is in the bedroom? Is this true on all condo sizes?

That is only in the one bedroom. The two and three bedroom bathrooms all have their own doors. If you can go for the 2/3 bedroom suites. They are spacious!!

Thanks. How would you compare Cypress Point to Marriott Cypress Harbor or Horizons. We have stayed at those and like them, but Cypress Pointe is priced better.

I have never stayed at the Marriot, so I can't compare, but if you go thru Hotel Kingdom dot com- you really can't beat the prices that they have for Cypress Grande Villas. We have stayed there our last 3 times at Disney and will be staying there in June 08.

I thought that was only in the older section as well (the section with the volcano pool). I thought I'd heard the one bedrooms in the other section had doors on the bathrooms, although I haven't been in one myself to see.

It is a very convenient location for walking to shopping and dining. It's also convenient for getting to Disney, Sea World, or Universal, all without going out on I-4. You can go out the back of the resort onto Lake Ave., take Lake to the four way stop (Palm Parkway/Turkey Lake Road) and if you turn left, you'll go up Turkey Lake to Sea World (Central Florida Parkway) or Universal (there's an entrance to Universal right on Turkey Lake). To get to Disney, you can either turn right at the four way stop, and left at the traffic light, or turn right out of CP and left at the traffic light (either way, you end up on Apopka Vineland Road/SR 535 and you can enter Disney via Hotel Plaza Blvd.). It's really a good location for getting around.

We are booking a 3 bedroom villa for May 08 and going with friends of ours. We have only stayed on-site for the past two trips, but have stayed off-site before and liked it. We plan on doing more than Disney this time so it will be nice to have space to just chill at the end of the day.

We have always booked through hotelkingdom dot com, aren't they great??:)
