Just returned from spending a week at CPGV. After reading everyone's comments on it here, I decided to pass up the $49 rate at Country Inn and Suites to stay here and give my family a little extra space. I just wanted to thank everyone who gave positive reviews because we couldn't have been happier. This was a "last family vacation" with just my parents and sister (we'll both be married by next summer) so I wanted it to be really special. We had a great time and if anyone's interested I'll post pics of the resort soon. Thanks again.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it. We will be there in a few weeks. I would love to see the pictures if you can post them.

Hey Zaxmom, when are you going to be there? We'll be there August 2-13. Maybe we'll see you!

Becky:wave:

Hi RAVENS58C my hubby, my mum and myself spent the last 2 weeks at the CPGV we departed on saturday 26th june. We really loved the place, we too couldnt have been happier. Which block were you in we were in F (white).

Hi Ravens58C We also had a pool view. I wish I was back there now!!! which pol did you use? We used the freeform pool by our block.

Wow...SOunds like you had a great time. We are looking at staying there on our next trip. How far a drive from WDW is it? Was there a washer/dryer and dishwasher in the suite?

thanks for any info you can provide.

Hi Samantha! We've been staying at CP with my cousins from the UK who are owners at CP for the past 10 years and always love this visit.I feel like I'm home everytime we step inside the door.:sunny:

I've got pictures that we took on our last years trip if you want to PM me I'd be more than happy to send them along to you. I know we chatted a few years ago about The Magic Castle Inns and Suites and you were kind enough to share pics with me and now I can return the favour!;)

WDW is about a 2 minute drive throught the main gates of Hotel Blvd. and there are tons of great shops, restaurants etc all within walking distance. Also 1 block away is a nice Winn-Dixie grocery store,a liquor store, pizzeria etc.

Yep there's a washer and dryer in the 2 and 3 bedroom suites.:D

Any more questions.....just ask away! Hope you and your DH are enjoying the East Coast!:teeth:

Emailed the photos and hope you enjoy!:sunny:

Sammi or anyone who can help
Stayed at CPGV for one of our Disney trips and loved it. The next time we stay there we are going to Universal. Do you know another way to get to Universal besides taking I4? Thanks

Sue we never take the I-4 to Universal.:D I'm not too good with directions but I hope you can understand this........leaving CP we turn right unto Apopka-Vineland Rd and then head straight for about 5 minutes until you hit Sandlake Rd. Turn right on Sandlake and continue down until the first stoplight BEFORE you go under the I-4 bridge....turn left there (can't for the life of me remember the name of the rd.:( ) and follow the Universal park signs.....it's about a 5 minute drive from there.:sunny:

Maybe another DIS'er will have clearer diections for you? lol::yes::

turn left there (can't for the life of me remember the name of the rd.
That would be Turkey Lake Road.
Another option is to exit CP to the North, onto Lake Ave. Turn right, go east to the end, at Palm Parkway. Follow Palm Parkway north, it parallels I4, and it becomes Turkey Lake Road. Universal has a main entrance from Turkey Lake Road.

sammi...The pics are great. Thanks for the help...Looks like I'm planning again.:teeth:

Thanks JohnnyOldBoy & Sammi for the directions. I am going to print both and bring them with me.

if you stay at cypress pointe are you required to take a time share tour ? thinking about staying there or marriott royal palms. thanks

If you go through hotelkigdom you do not have to do a tour. When you sign in they will ask if you are interested in a tour and some money for takign it but we just said no and it was no problem.::yes::

What kind of rates are you guys getting? We are thinking of a week in Sept 2004. just wondering about rates for a 2BR. thanks:D

We are staying in a 2-bedroom in the old part (not the Grand Villas) in three weeks :bounce: for $66 a night. Rates have been slowly creeping up, though, so if you're interested, it would probably be best to book ASAP.

Becky
