hi,
we made a decision to stay at cypress pointe for our trip in a couple weeks (feb 4rd-11) . we got a great deal ( $369 for a whole week on ebay from renting resorts. ) i am a little nervous though having never rented from them before. has any one used ebay??? also anyone stay at cypress pointe any reviews. also is the bed in the second bedroom comfortable (i think it has a trundle under it) i didnt realize this when we booked. my mom and daughter were going to share this room. but i think my daughter will have to sleep in the living room. also can you request to be on the first floor.
thanks
kim

we stayed at cypress pointe, back in may, and loved it!!! we have a timeshare, so we just switched with our home resort, never used ebay before for a vacation,(sorry can't help you there). the second bedroom has 2 twin beds. the 2nd one is just stored under the other bed, but it is not a trundle bed. you move it and lift it. the room should be just fine for your mother and daughter. the only thing about that room i didn't like was the tv, could only be used for dvd use only. any way we loved this place so much we are stying back there in june! oh and by the way, it is very close to disney's main entrance on the downtown disney side. have fun!!

I stayed there about two years ago. I got a deal on Skyauction for around $210.00 for a week in Oct. It was nice.
Good location, clean, small one bedroom unit for time share.
Never used Ebay before.

At the very top of this board there is a subsection for "reviews". I am certain there are reviews of Cypress Point in there. We stayed at CP and loved it, but we were in the Grand Villas, so there were two actually twin beds, no trundle. We have stayed in other timeshares since then (only because we couldn't get CPGV) and didn't like them nearly as well. You will have a great time!

for a week at Liki Tiki and it was fine. It might be from the same seller that someone else on these boards went through. The diser's name was sbclifton, I believe. Try looking for her posts and the two of you can compare notes on who you got it from on Ebay. Cypress pointe is one of the resorts we're considering for our stay this fall. Good Luck!~!

We stayed at CP in a 3 bdrm in Apr 2005. We reserved through Hotelkingdom, so I can't give you any info about going through Ebay. My kids stayed in the 2nd bedroom with the trundle, but DD then 8 didn't like the trundle bed and preferred the pull out sofa in the living room. My MIL stayed in the attached lockout unit (that makes the 2 bdrm a 3 bdrm), and we requested (and got) a first floor unit due to "mobility issues", because I was worried about her (and all of us for that matter, LOL :lmao: ) trying to hike upstairs at the end of a long day in the parks. No problems, and we loved our stay. :)

your pictures reminded me of something I hated about the master. That bathroom is so open to the bedroom. Plus, if you have a one bedroom and the kids are in the LR pull out, they have to walk through the bedroom to use the bathroom. And, they have that stupid window as a wall between the master and the LR.
But, hey for a good price, it's worth it.

The "window wall" 1 bedroom only applies to Cypress Pointe Grande Villas, not Cypress Pointe Resort. The twin/trundle in the 2nd bedroom applies only to CPR not CPGV which has two twin beds in that room. The 2nd bedroom at CPR has a DVD/TV that is not connected to the cable system (short version - the cable outlet in the wall was never wired and the cost was prohibitive to retrofit) while there is no tv or dvd of any kind in the 2nd bedroom at CPGV. Just a few of the differences between the two sides of the resort. Both have an open bath layout in the 1 bedroom lock off side while CPR also has an open bath layout in the master bedroom - CPGV does not. Both have a traditional 2nd bathroom off the living area in the 2 bedroo side.

Right now there is a total remodeling underway in the Clubhouse lobby. If you are booked prior to 2/1/07 there is a temporary check in desk set up in the game room. After 2/1/07 it is expected the new lobby will be open for guests.

yes the bathroom could have been a pain if we only had the 1 bedroom, but we had the 3 bedroom. so it didn't matter to us. this year we are getting the 2 bedroom. either wasy it's ok we still love this place!

We stayed at Cypress Pointe for a few nights as well. It was such a great price and looked lovely on the website. We booked through Hotel Kingdom as well. We only had a one bedroom and were shocked by the bathroom arrangements - we laughed for a long time at that one :rotfl2:

It was nice enough and the location was good. We were there during renovations and a cold spell which was a bit of a bummer but we were in Florida and made the best of it anyway!

but has anyone ever used ebay to get good deals on hotels...im thinking about using ebay for renting a weeks stay at cypress pointe, but im a little nervous about using it, because i have never used ebay for anything. has anyone ever used ebay for renting?

No, but try skyauction. I see CP on there all the time. It's easy to bid on that site and I know many people from the DIS have used it.

i am planning on bidding for cypress pointe for feb 4th too. did the seller mail u information or confirmation??? if so how soon did u get it?

just read the sellers feedback and you should be fine if they've rented other units there.

hi,
we booked from renting resorts on ebay (brooke was the contact person i have been emailing.) we won the auction on friday she just sent me the confirmation today she also said that i would receive something in the mail from sunterra (i guess they own or manage cypress pointe). i have not called the resort to verify as of yet. (when i do i will let you know and keep you updated) according to the feedback everything looks okay. the price was definatley right. i also am a little nervous hoping everything works out. maybe we will see you in orlando good luck with your auction. let me know how it works out.
