I know that Vistana has gone towards the trend of not designating ANY rooms as non smoking (crazy!) and I'm really hoping that is not the case at Cypress Pointe. Does anyone here know?

Thanks in advance!

HeatherPage,

We noticed that the suite across from ours had a no smoking sign on the door. Ours didn't. We had an ash tray set out on the table of the balcony.
So it appears that they do have some designated for non smoking.

Actually I just called Cypress Pointe directly (right before I read your response) and the gentlemen who answered claimed that ALL the rooms were non-smoking. Maybe it's a new program they're implementing?

Thank you for your response :)

I don't know that Vistana has "gone toward the trend" Haven't they always been that way? A lot of time share resorts have no designations. The thinking I have heard is that they are owned weekly and therefore can't tell people not to smoke in them.

I have never had a problem with a smoky room unlike at the casino hotel where we took the last avail room and it was not nonsmoking and you could TELL!
